Their attitude was to avoid providing any service. The sign on their front deor did not have opening hours. So I knocked on the door and the lady inside ignored me. When it opened I complained and they said I was rude and should leave.

Booked a table for 12 people for Sunday lunch. Great place for a family gathering. Great range of beers and the wine list was good too. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their lunches, fish and chips was cooked to perfection, schnitzels were delish, the...BBQ pack was a definite winner as was the juicy steaks. Could not fault this place and it was loads of atmosphere. Would certainly come again when visiting Canberra.More

Back after a few years overseas and pleasantly surprised that the place is the same yet has expanded positively. still the old Canberra In feel, but improved and updated food and drink options. Recommend for any visit to Canberra or locals

Found this by accident and headed there as soon as we checked into our room. Driving there was a little challenging but we eventually got to the place and found a pack, which was always helpful. Old place with rooms all over the shop but...lots of atmosphere and we managed to get a table close to the music and sat back and enjoyed. Very nice evening with a drink or two and enjoyable music.More

Fantastic building/venue with great vibe, food And beers are great and some of the staff make effort to make you feel welcome, some other staff could make more of an effort to pay some attention to you and look like they care about your experience...at the venue, could be more music in there when there’s no live music, and more directions on where to order/pick up orders. All in all good place if you feel independent, If you like a bit more staff interaction you’ll have to sort it out for yourself here.More

After struggling to find parking we were greeted by the most unfriendly person ever who passed us some menus and left us to our own devices. We found a table and then had no idea where to order our meals. Eventually we were directed back...to the unfriendly lady outside in the courtyard who took our orders. We were given a buzzer but no instructions about where to pick up meals and no signs anywhere telling us where to go. It didn't matter in the end as after nearly an hour of waiting for our meals we were told by the grumpy lady she messed up our order number and our meals had been waiting for us for ages at the pass. When we grabbed our meals they were cold- no apology offered. The BBQ plate was overcooked and the meat was chewy and dry. The chicken schnitzel was so so dry and overcooked. The only good thing about the meal was the chips that despite being cold were quite tasty. Definitely do not recommend!More

We had lunch last Wednesday here and shared the lamb sausage rolls, arancini and the fish and chips. All three were very tasty. Can be super difficult to get a car park but we were in luck this time. I'll be back on my next...Canberra visit for sure.More

Went here for a few beers and it was great! The outside area was nice, and there was a great selection of beers to pick from. It was also great to see that they were following the Covid plans!

This is our regular when we are working down in Canberra. Great old pub in walking distance from our motel. Real old style building and laid back atmosphere. Good beer selection and friendly staff. Meals are big and good value.

Went here for lunch on a winters day. Nice old building with log fires. Good lunch specials for $15, including a good sized burger and chips. A shame the chips were not crisp but rather soggy.
