This was my first time ever to The Ruc (I'd heard so many good things about the place). The interior looks very nice as has a coastal feel to the flooring and tables/chairs. Now, I'm not a fussy eater to say the least, but the...Chicken Parmigiana was hands down the most disappointing parmy I've ever had. There was hardly any base sauce, the ham was so paper thin and then I have no idea what cheese they used but it was so unappealing and tasted nothing like a cheese that should be on a classic parmy. I didn't even touch the salad as it looked very wilted (like it should have been thrown out yesterday). The best part about my meal was the chips. Drinks were also a bit pricey. Would I go back again.......maybe.More

The venue it self is awesome, would highly recommend, alcohol is on the more expensive side for what your ordering. Food is ok, don't order the chicken wings if you like wings, just boiled wings with a sauce on the side, no flavor to wings...or any crisp to them, the flavour is just on the side which says it all really. Highly recommend for the venue and bowls, just pay a bit extra for booze and food okMore

Went on the weekend with a group of friends. We booked lawnbowls and finger food (it's $20pp for 2 hours bowls only, or $50pp for 2hours plus finger food). Even with 8 people we only got one lane which was a bit crowded. The bowls...and greens were great- although there was rubbish and broken glass around the greens which makes barefoot difficult. The food and drinks were expensive for what we got. The finger food for vegetarians was 2 mini quiches and some (delicious) cauliflower with sauce. The meat eaters recieved 2 mini quiches, mini hot dog, chicken and beef. Was a bit expensive really for $30pp. Also it's $17 for two Furphy schooners with a membership card. The staff were nice enough. Lots of free parking.More

What a smile! Bridget from the RUC was an excellent barmaid, was accomodating and made us feel at home. One of the best rum and Coke’s I’ve had in years 10/10! Great venue

Awesome venue and good facilities. However a few more staff would allow this pub to give the service needed to live up to it's potential. The staff looked overwhelmed with not enough co workers to meet the patrons needs.

Don't bother eating here, ridiculously overpriced for very ordinary meals. I don't understand how they can get it so wrong for so long. Some beer pouring classes would help, as would an attitude adjustment for some of the staff! Sour and unwelcoming. A positive, the...bowls and setting are greatMore
