Dinner out

Good value. Delicious and different.

It deserved 5 stars. A busy and very popular place with some spectacularly tasty dishes. Since we had not been there before and were not that familiar with the cuisine the very cheery and informative server suggested the tasting menu. Believe us, it was a...treat. A whole series of small dishes, complex deliciously different tastes, textures and main ingredients, both marinaded and cooked.. Highly recommended.More

Very disappointing food

The food was terrible. The Japanese chicken dish had no flavour and was like eating a piece of cardboard as was the beef short ribs….and they had a 10% surcharge for Saturday dining. You have to be kidding. Would not recommend to anyone. Very poor

Friday night at Akiba

We had dinner here on a Friday night for couples night out. It’s a funky place in town, we were running 25min late and they still held our table for us!! Great food and service was fantastic a great selection and came out quickly We...will be back!!More

Asian street food at its best

Tuna tartare AMAZING!! Milk buns with pork belly & soft shell crab succulent & juicy! Beef short ribs with rice wonderful flavours! Staff delightful. Highly recommend!!!

Yummy eats!

Cosy ambiance. Absolutely yum food. The shared plates were great as you could have a bit of everything. Especially loved the miso/nuts eggplant ! Highly recommend.

Just amazing, both service & food

A night at Akiba

A very busy restaurant. Great service with very friendly hosts. If you are unsure, just get the host to feed you and they know their menu extremely well. Price is reasonable. Each dish is explained as it comes out. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go...back.More

Top food, top fun

Our main waitress, Zoe was fantastic, accommodating and fun to deal with. The food, beer, gun and cocktails were brilliant. A couple of new adventurers in our group were really surprised and impressed by what they had. Share plates are a great way to eat...with our table of 4. Loved it.More

Superb innovative cuisine

Overall. An exciting and tasty range of dishes, small and large servings. Courses. The courses were excellent, a great chef. Saki wine flight. Excellent starter on a cold wet Canberra weekend. Ambience: Bustling, but not noisy, open views to the kitchen, a fun place to...eat. Wait staff: Fast service. Very attentive, friendly and efficient wait person for the lunch time we were there. Toilets: Separate male and female and a separatee non-ambulant toilet. Comfort: We were inside and sat on bar stools with small backs, so no back support and also bit close to the table next to you if you leant back.More

Amazing food, so delicious.

Amazing food, and amazing service. We have a young family and the kids loved the popcorn chicken. They were able to accommodate all our eccentricities. The Trout Tartare and the beef short rib are amazing!

One of the best restaurants and bar in Canberra I love to eat japanese fried chicken bun and eggplant buns and Japanese fried chicken with cheese and drinks are always awesome 🥂🍻

Great food, great service

Fantastic food and service. Went there for our anniversary dinner and went with the “Chef feed me” option for $60 pp. all nine dishes they brought us were fantastic. Like really delicious and inventive. We left full too. The wine selection was very good. We...were served by a delightful waitperson called Ari who was top notch. All in all a fantastic evening. We’ll go again and we recommend you go too.More
