Over the years we have been to this restaurant many times and it is always faultless. We had the tasting menu on Saturday night it was 9.5 out of 10.

Food was great, highly recommend for Entre we enjoyed prawns and squid/scallop toast. Everything from Duck to Striploin Beef with pepper to Garlic Rice and Greens were so tasty. Staff friendly and efficient. Such a nice experience.

Wow - not sure what we were expecting but this place completely superseded all our expectations! Loved the retro decor and amazing ambiance. Service was sublime from start to finish. We were a group of 6 and we went with the Tasting Menu. Every single...dish was beautifully presented and skilfully crafted. Highlights were the “Rock oyster/ somenn noodles/ gazpacho” , the “Kohlrabi / Rock Lobster”, and the whole "Siu Mei Platter”. Beautiful sorbet to round out the meal. Highly recommended!More

6 people attended Chairman and Yip on Wednesday 30/11. We shared a banquet most of which was ok nothing out of the box. A lot of shellfish which I could not eat. The replacement meals for the shellfish was inedible! The Staff were obviously pushed...for time therefore the service was poor. We received a bill of $1000 for a very average meal. The one bottle of wine was charged at $150 - it was a $50 bottle of wine. My overall rating is minus zero!!More

About 50 of us attended, maybe more. We had a banquet, as it wouldn’t have been practical to do otherwise. I was impressed, as sometimes a banquet isn’t all that fantastic. We decided to have the tasting menu as it was our first time here and it's the best way to try lots of different dishes. It was a good move. We loved every dish, all interesting and tasty in their own way - we went...with the Siu Mei platter (pork, duck and kingfish) but I'm sure the other platter would have been delicious too. Definitely will come back here on our next Canberra trip. The sophisticated decor and jazz music added nicely to the experience. Oh yes, and the waiter gave me a complimentary top-up of my shiraz, then a complimentary dessert wine with the final course. Highly recommended!More

We have been coming to this restaurant for a number of years even before it moved to the Burbury Hotel. The quality and presentation of the food is of a high standard. The dishes are cooked to perfection, in particular the roast duck. The scallops...as an entree were excellent as was the finish of the meal with a gelato sorbet. The professional staff were also excellent. We will certainly be back.More

We had dinner at Chairman and Yip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had wanted to go for some time and it was well worth the wait. What a fabulous evening, we had the 5 course set menu and it did not disappoint, the food...was all amazing. The service was impeccable. The wine list was also extensive with some Canberra wines.
