We came upon this walking along the street .. sat outside which was lovely; the prawns and tomato salad were both excellent; great cocktails and wine list to choose from; staff were very friendly. Can highly recommend

My first dinner at Black Fire for quite a bit and pleased to say it’s as good as ever. We felt like a lighting meal so chose from the tapas and entrees and that worked fine. Recommended dishes include the octopus and chorizo and beans...but it’s all pretty good. The menu offers heaps of choice and the wine list is also varied.More

Came here for my birthday as a surprise by my husband back in July 2020. We enjoy having Spanish tapas as it gives us a variety of foods for us to try. Every single thing that we had ordered, we absolutely enjoyed. There isn’t a...fault or anything that we didn’t enjoy about the food. The staff were very helpful in helping us to order the tapas. They were quick with their service and in getting our drinks.More

The food is below average here, I would rather go to a pub to get better food quality than here. We ordered mussels it was stinky, plus the risotto and ravioli was literally tasteless. Couldn’t finish my dinner. However, the only good thing was roasted...potatoes. We will never come back and won’t recommend anyone to go there as well. Service was fast but the chefs in the kitchen needs to gear up their game. You need to change your chefs who can cook good quality food. $140 wasted!! However, the menu looks very interesting. Review your food to make sure customers have a good experience.More

Took a fellow Cancerian to Black Fire last Tuesday night and ordered the chefs tasting menu, didn’t disappoint. No dish required extra seasoning. The Pan tossed scallops with salmorejo sauce were very tasty, could have done with two more scallops. Place was not crowded; staff...were informative, and service was quick. Will return.More

We came into Black Fire with high hopes as the restaurant was recommended to us by local friends. Unfortunately, it did not stand up to their description. The service was slow and the food was quite bland. The overall atmosphere in the restaurant was uncomfortable...as if nobody wanted to be there (guests and staff).More

Absolutely shocking service, the restaurant wasn’t even full, yet our waiters seemed to completely forget about us. We could’ve gotten up and walked straight out without paying and I doubt anyone would even have noticed. We sat there for more than 20mins after finishing our...food and no-one cleared our plates or offered us desserts or coffees, yet they were serving people at tables right next to us. Attempts to make eye contact with any of the wait staff was blatantly ignored. On top of that the food was mediocre at best. I would not recommend this place to even my worst enemy.More

Enjoyed a dinner with friends and colleagues recently. As a group of 15, we were delighted with the banquet (feed me menu), which offered great selections for entrees, mains and desserts. The food was exceptional in presentation and flavour - an excellent experience. The wine...list had a great selection of Australian and International options by the glass. We had a fun night out and it’s a great restaurant for such a function. Thanks for your vote.More

Booking highly recommended at this busy restaurant as on Wednesday 26th May it was packed! Service and food were excellent, with a comfortable atmosphere. Cannot remember when we had such a great meal with professional, friendly and quick service. The tasting menu dishes came out...in steady intervals and we were never left wanting for drinks. The drink and food menus were extensive and appeared to cater for all tastes. Chose this venue as it was in walking distance from our hotel - so happy we did, sorry not to try the other many dishes on offer, but would not hesitate to return.More

We had really looked forward to returning here having been many months before. Such a disappointment from beginning to end. Each course was very average and, had I served it up myself at home, I would have been apologizing to anyone eating it. Nothing about...the food resonated as being Spanish. The only positive was the friendly staff.More
