Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went to the cupping room with a young baby and toddler. The line outside was long but moved quick(ish). I ordered the pumpkin halloumi dish and the burger. Kids loved it.
Service aren't doing justice to the kitchen. There were a lot of people waiting outside while we were seated but it took so long to get someone's attention to order, to get a high chair and to finally pay.
Service was cold, blank stares.
Coffee was great without a doubt.

We have visited this cafe a couple of times now and probably tried everything on their menu which is vegetarian. The Black Forest french toast was just amazing. It was so fluffy and not overly sweet. Their medley of mushrooms too is one of favourites. The smashed avo with labaneh and dukka too is really good.
Overall a great cafe can get really busy but the staff are lovely and food gets delivered really quick.

We had to wait about 25 mins for a table as Covid restrictions mean they’ve got limited tables inside. But we’re very glad we waited!
The staff were wonderful, one in particular who was so sweet, sad I didn’t get his name.
The food is amazing. A smaller menu but still enough to choose from.
I had the French toast and my partner had the pulled pork eggs Benedict with a side of crumbed halloumi and all of it was spectacular!
Would definitely return here and recommend to anyone visiting Canberra.

The good thing is that the cafe use real chai leaves. The bad thing is for one cup it is over priced, under brewed and tastes like boiled milk. The barista is wasting good tea, customers money and the owners money by not allowing it to brew long enough, and not even letting it brew in a pot to allow the customer to choose the strength. Try the cafe down the road in New Acton who knows how to make a good chai.
However, the coffee was great.

Our experience at The Cupping Room started with an unplanned morning coffee. After a short wait we were shown to our table. In short teh service was above average, coffee excellent. We also enjoyed some toast and spread. The multigrain bread was great. The breakfast menu looked inviting so we decided to plan an early breakfast during the week between Christmas and New Year. I checked the website and opening time was advertised as 7:00 AM weekdays. No mention of special holiday times except that they close Christmas Day and New Year's Day. We arrived at 7:15AM (before work) on Friday to be told by the staff that they only open at 8:00AM for the week on which New Year fell (Friday was 3 January). Still no signs at the restaurant (except the one showing hours 7:00AM - 4:00PM), and still no change to the website information. We made a special effort to get there early so we could still be in tiem to start work. I guess we will never find out whether their breakfast is any good!

There is a reason The Cupping Room currently sits at #3 on trip advisor - after reading reviews my husband & I took the short walk from our accommodation at the QT to the cafe.
The French Toast was amazing !! A generous portion size & so delicious. The coffee was everything I expected, the coffee bean origin cards a little extra which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The staff were friendly & definitely know their coffee, more than happy to assist me selecting beans for my home cold brew.
Will definitely recommend to family & friends & look forward to visiting again to try the other delicious menu items.

Staying nearby I wanted somewhere to grab a coffee and breaky. Upon entering j was approached by multiple staff who seated me immediately. Overall the staff were very relaxed and super helpful. I quickly order a cold brew coffee and a bacon and egg roll. Both arrived very promptly! The coffee had a clean by complex taste and I was very tempted to get more take away. The bacon and egg roll was so jammed full of bacon I couldn’t believe, and the addition of avo was a nice touch of freshness.

Located on the ground floor of a building, at the corner of University Ave and London Circuit.
We came for breakfast. We had to wait for about 45 minutes to get a table due to number of guest restrictions even though the indoor dining room should be for 85 people and outside for 22.
The dining room is quite large, with a kitchen to the right and a coffee making corner to the left. Between them, the counter sells coffee powder and accessories. They serve limited items on the menu. We ordered Chia pudding, Bacon and Egg Roll, French Toast and Frikadellen Benedict.
The service was fast and good and all had good taste.

The way to get the menu is well done for Covid-19. With having to scan it. The seating was very good too. With lots of space to move around. The service was not great with the drinks coming out and not giving out everyone on time. The poached eggs on toast was nice but not a very full meal. Need more food

Nothing is worse than having a $7 coffee that is cold and tasteless. This would have to be the most pretentious and overrated coffee place ever. They boast about their bean and origin and all the jazz….but the Coffee is served up cold and tastes like the flavour of instant coffee.
Don’t wait in line for this coffee. Get a tea somewhere else instead.

Came here based on reviews, service was slow. Waited over 30 minutes till food was delivered to table and it wasn’t busy. The food was actually good which is frustrating with the slow service, limited parking nearby, most spots 30 minutes. When I went to pay, wouldn’t expect cash, no signs and wasn’t told upfront ☹️

We have visited the Cupping Room several times before but always for coffee (which is always great). Last Saturday morning we went there for breakfast arriving at 9.30am. With Covid reduced numbers allowed and no bookings, the queue was reasonably long but the staff member managed it perfectly. He was friendly and efficient. In fact, the waiting time was less than expected so we were pleased that we had waited.
The service is friendly, the food is excellent and the coffee is great. I am looking forward to my next brunch at the Cupping Room.
Adherence to Covid procedures was very strict.

The Cupping Room is not what it sounds like.
If you haven’t been to this excellent cafe I urge you to try it out.
The food is always seasonal and is regularly changed- with a selection of hot and cold dishes, shakes, teas and coffees; you can even grab a cider.
Great for catching up with friends, colleagues or a lunch break, the staff are great and rush to get you in but never rush you out.

Breakfast and a great coffee. Pleasant atmosphere with friendly service. Delivery of meals was in a timely manner even when extreamly busy. The gluten free option was great with the nicest gluten free bread I have had yet.
