Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a great little gem in the heart of Canberra. The food here is excellent and very authentic. The service was amazing on both visits with the same woman doing a wonderful solo job. She understands customer service so well she should be hired by...restaurants in Canberra. The food order went easily. The food itself has all the dishes you would expect from a Thai restaurant. I had a green Thai curry which was nice and spicy. Drinks are well priced and varied. The best part about the restaurant is now reasonable the prices are for such high quality food when we find the opposite inn other restaurants around Canberra. Please ensure you are the time to attend the restaurant and enjoy the food. Very easy to find as just off bunda street.More

Canberra is expensive to dine in. So it’s a pleasant surprise to find a place where the food is very reasonably priced, tastes good and the service is great. Highly recommended, especially for families.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. We often wondered what was up those stairs leasing off Garema Place so one day we thought lest see what lies beyond and boy are we glad we did. Wonderful food, happy efficient staff, who are all family who...own the restaurant, BYO with no corkage charge, and right in the middle of Canberra. Give it a go you’ll be glad you did I’m sure.More

45 minute wait for food is too long. The only reason this isn't one star is the food was delicious, waitress very professional and friendly and I don't want to gve businesses a bad review during covid. If you do go book an early time...or eat something big so you don't go hunry. I might come back but will have something before i go. Also very cheap noodles compared to other places but still one of the best Thai places around. Despite the long wait.More

They have really friendly employees here and their laksa is soooo good. Great pricing too, and the decor/music is really cute! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! It's great for friends, dates, and families if you do not have picky kids!

He said it was the best Thai he's ever eaten. I reckon its pretty good too. If you go to the menu instead of the lunch takeaways you'll find some great dishes. Big servings and great value. Their laksa is top notch, possibly the best...in Canberra no arguments.. They will make any dish 'Thai spicy' if you so want. Love sitting over Garema Place and looking out.More

A group of us out looking for an evening meal stumbled across this great little eatery. Situated on the first floor the restaurant is laid out pleasantly and welcoming staff. The menu was diverse and comprehensive as was the drinks list. Food was fantastic- large...serves and very tasty. Value for money is great as well with very reasonable prices. Recommended.More

When dining with my mate at Rice Thai Tapas Restaurant, the first thing we noticed was the brilliant service from the lady who greeted us from the moment we entered. The great service carried through the rest of our time here and made for a...comfortable and welcoming experience. The food was also full of flavour and presented beautifully. Can't wait to come back and try what else they have on the menu. Would recommend the cashew nut stir fry.More

We were looking for a pre-theatre meal and ended up at Rice Tapas because it is located where another of our former favourite restaurants was. The food is fresh, spicy, and great value. $49 for two and we were very well fed.

It is nicely tucked away in a City walk (Civic Centre in Canberra). Quiet and pleasant. Food is good, and a good variety of options for vegans, vegetarians and pescetarians. I had fish, and it was a little too lemony, but nice and fresh. Many...good choices in a menu. I will be back when visiting Canberra.More

Stopped by for lunch, excellent authentic hot red curry with plenty of vegies and side of rice. Also went back for the Pad Sei Ew, which was also generous and delicious. Highly recommend!
