Came here for dinner after work with a mate as a good half way meeting point. Nice samosas, delicious vegetarian curries and some of the best cheese and garlic naan I've had in a while. Good serving sizes and really friendly staff. Food came quickly but we never felt rushed. Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

I took my family here for a late fathers day dinner after a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed.
Staff were very friendly and attentative, the food came out fast and was great portion sizes for good cost. Everything was very tasty and we will be back!

Is this the best Indian restaurant in Canberra? Our SriLankan friend says so, and I can't really argue. Ingredients are very good quality, spicing is excellent and everything seems to be prepared when ordered (not pulled out of a bain-marie or a freezer).
Staff are always super friendly.
It's easily our favourite takeaway at the moment!

I'm 2 weeks into the elimination phase of low FODMAP and it's my birthday. I contacted the team at Delhi to Canberra to see if there was anything on the menu I could eat. They called me and took the time to understand my requirements and then the fabulous Chef Raj created a brand new dish for me! It was delicious. I'd highly recommend for anyone with allergies or other dietary needs to reach out and feel confident the team will take care of you. Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality and delicious food.

Authentic culinary skills produce a rare high quality which should attract Indian food lovers. The service is extremely efficient and friendly and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely eat there again soon. Long may they prosper!

This restaurant is a wonderful hidden gem in Canberra's north. The food is fantastic and full of flavour. We started with naan and raita - including the anchovy naan (which was stunning and not overpowering at all!!).
This was followed by the butter chicken and lamb korma. The meat melted in out mouths, and the chickpea curry was so good. The papadams were made with cumin seeds, adding a delightful pop of flavour. The decor is refreshing and with the great staff this is a place we will be coming back to regularly! I would highly recommend!

The disappointment started with the drinks and followed with the food. A friend and I dined there in March and decided to give it another shot. On that occasion, the corkage for our bottle of wine was $10 which is reasonable.We went there once more with a fine Elderton Shiraz and were informed that BYO wine was no longer an option. The red wine list they offered as an alternative was poor. All it had was a local red of reasonable quality, a Victorian red of vin ordinaire quality, a Chilean pinot noir and two French vin ordinaires. All were in the $30 to $40 price range. We opted for drinking water instead. If an establishment wishes to not have BYO that's their prerogative, but the least they can do is provide a reasonable selection of wines without a 200% markup, which was evident with their Victorian offering.
We ordered two main courses – Lamb Madras and Chicken Chettinad, both South Indian dishes. Coming from a background of considerable experience, the two dishes should have been as diverse as chalk and cheese. While we had no issue with the quality of the ingredients, both swam in cream (not coconut cream either), and the flavour of the gravy between the two was indistinguishable.
What's remarkable about Indian cuisine is the variety of its regional cuisines but this was sadly missing from the restaurant's offerings over these two visits. It's just another in a string of establishments that dole up a homogenised version of 'Indian curry' – offerings hallmarked by the stamp of mediocrity.
To cap it all off, every time the front door was opened, we were assailed by a blast of wintry air. A screen around the entrance would fix that, but that's a moot point for us as we will not be dining there again.

We absolutely love Indian food and have tried many restaurants and this one is the best.
The food is magnificent, so full of flavour and the staff are just so friendly and interested in you as a person and not just a customer.
The restaurant is beautiful and you have the chance to hear wonderful music while you eat.

I had a dine-in meal with a couple of mates. This is a lovely little restaurant. Great service and really good food.
It was the first time we had dined here and it was a very pleasant surprise.
I do not think I can really fault it on any level.
I would recommend anyone wanting to indulge in good Indian food and drinks that are not watered down and friendly staff in a nice open-planned restaurant, this is a great option to book

Well! Went here for dinner with my friend and absolutely enjoyed it. Started with palak patta chat and onion pakora- absolutely delish. We had garlic naan with chicken jalfrezi, bombay beef and aloo gobi- all these dishes fully flavoured, perfectly balanced and the presentation was amazing.thank you to the beautiful waitresses who served us and the owner (Suman)herself made sure she went to every table and asked if we were looked after.

I was amazed with the terrible taste when it’s getting hard to find a real taste of Indian food. Even most of the Indian restaurants doing infusion these days, in that way they are missing the traditional taste somehow. my parents, who were just here for a visit, were very happy and satisfied with the food and service.
An Indian Couple,( Raj & Suman) who started there restaurant journey three years ago, was very accommodating and had come to us to ask about the food.
Give it a go people, trust me you won’t be disappointed!

I felt the place is overrated, after visiting. The ambience was ok but the tables were congested. I came here for my partners's birthday and had huge expectations after going through their website. The food looked great in their pictures. The menu had fancy names. We were really excited to try it out. Unfortunately the taste was not good at all. we had amritsari fish. It wasn’t crispy at all. The taste wasn’t upto the mark.Goat curry was bit salty . The chicken wasn’t fresh. We just had the masala which was okay. The naan was good. Food was very poor quality and just felt overrated. They need to improve the taste. Highly disappointed. Wouldn’t go back

A group of 7 friends, we had dinner at Delhi to Canberra Indian restaurant. every single dish was a surprise for us, the richness of spices was on the next level. I and My friends tried different Indian food in Canberra's local area, but for sure this is something different and unique. In the same week. my family and I visited the place for dinner three times and would love to keep going there. The ambience is perfect for a fine dining experience and the service is 10 out of 10. Love it..!

We've been in Canberra for 2yrs, but due to Covid etc we hadn't made it out for Indian food, until now. A friend recommended another restaurant but it was booked out, so a quick google search later we found Dehli to Canberra 5mins drive away at the Melba shops. The restaurant was cute, warm and buzzing. The food was incredible. We ordered a lot of finger food to cater for our particularly picky younger children. Starting with the best vegetarian samosas I've ever tasted (pastry and filling were truly special).
We also had:
Chicken tikka (among the best I've tasted)
Seekh kebab (spicy, smoky, delicious)
Amritsari Machhi (absolutely incredible spice infused battered fish. Batter was so light and crispy)
Goat Curry (rich and delicious, meat falling from the bones)
Lamb Madras (oh my God unbelievable!)
Yellow Daal (velvety and delicious)
All the curries were so fresh, vibrant and full of flavour. We had Garlic naan and Garlic and cheese naan that were absolutely amazing. The raita, even the saffron rice were perfect. My Mrs and I like to say that you really can tell when food is cooked with love, you can taste it. That attention to detail and pride you have when presenting food to guests in your own home. That's how we felt when we left this restaurant, full, happy, buzzed. Worth every cent and it was also very reasonably priced.

I’ve enjoyed a meal here a few times with friends. Then tonight I got a family takeaway and we had a great meal. They were able to prepare two options for my wife who has very specific and tricky dietary requirements due to a medical condition, and both dishes were really tasty. It’s very unusual for restaurants to cater for my wife and the staff went out of their way on a busy night to make sure they did a great meal for her. Plus we had a Lamb Rohan Josh and a Mango Chicken with such tender and tasty chicken. Really tasty food, and such great service. I highly recommend Delhi to Canberra.
