Go Hawker

Great food, great service, hidden gem in the burbs. It is our local, but hard to go past. You really need to be in the CBD to get such quality.

Olive Hawker your a winner

My husband and I took our Grandsons out for dinner for their respective birthdays 18 and 15. Both of them chose Olive for their choice of restaurant. Olive never fails to deliver tasty meals of generous proportions in a timely manner, the staff are courteous...and cheerful.More

A great meal to celebrate mum's birthday

We were totally surprised by Olive at Hawker. For a suburban restaurant the food was really good with a mix of Greek (which is what I went for) and Italian cuisines. For the first time on a night out the kids had adult meals such...as spicy prawns and penne and lamb ragu instead of chicken nuggets and bolognese. Us adults enjoyed the moussaka and the pork medallions. The service was very friendly, which along with the food helped make it a great meal to celebrate mum's birthday.More

Great food for that special occasion.

Great food and excellent service. Leave a bit of time for the food to be cooked fresh. Can be a bit noisy but that is minor when the overall experience is so good.

A great suburban restaurant

My friends and I had a delicious meal at Olive today - a friendly and warm restaurant in Hawker. We were all most impressed with our meals. I had the lamb ragu - the lamb was tender and succulent and the pasta perfectly cooked. I...couldn’t resist the tiramasu and it was to die for. Alekka is a charming hostess and the ever attentive and knowledgable waiter, James, is a delight. Parking is free and plenty of it. We will come again!!More

An excellent relaxing dining experience.

The restaurant is located at a suburban shopping centre. There is ample parking available. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. The food selection from the daily special and the standing menu is excellent. The daily special of grilled sardines was delicious as was the slowed...roasted lamb shoulder and tiramisu from the standard menu. A suitable selection of wines is available the glass or bottle. Prices are in line with expectation of such a venue.More

I believe Olive at Hawker re opens on 8 January, but Olive at Mawson is open through the holidays. Have a look on their website.
