South Indian menu Good food, good presentation but very expensive. Talking about food In entree we ordered gobi kempu bezule and vindaloo lamb chops. Both were perfectly cooked and tasted awesome In mains we ordered chettinad palakatti kurma, karaikudi eggplant curry and Malabar chicken curry....Chicken curry and eggplant curry were good. Paneer curry was ok. Malabar parotta was ok ok , tawa roti was good Talking about prices This place is very expensive as compared to other Indian restaurants. I suppose it's because it offers unique menu. But paying $6.50 for tawa roti is ridiculous. If a person eats three rotis he ends up paying $19.50 just for rotis. They should reduce the prices of rotis atleast. I won't be surprised if they don't get local customers. Because expect to pay two and a half times the other similar places.we spent more than $220 :( Don't expect much for the looks and atmosphere. The place is average for the looks, for ambience and for seating. But I recommend it for food though.More

This was first visit to Daana after reading about it in the paper. The restaurant was busy on a Saturday night yet the service was friendly and fast. The waiter advised us well about how many dishes we should order - he was spot on!...The biryani was fantastic. My fussy boy really loved the lamb korma. I will keep an eye out for special events as I expect their banquets would be amazing.More

Thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing class with Sanjay willing to answer any questions and providing excellent instruction. We made three delicious dishes and enjoyed them at the end.

Wonderful tasty food that provides a variety of thoughtful Indian dishes. There is a lot of thought put into constructing the dishes and their format. Delightful room and service. Watch out for what happens next to the building - it's up for sale. Though the...management has a lease until 2023.More

We had a wonderful group dinner at Daana to celebrate my husbands birthday. The food and drinks were delicious and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend Daana for your next celebration

This restaurant had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had the weekly banquet and was not able to finish and asked for a takeaway container, which I could see on the counter next to my table. I usually get a takeaway container...for most meals, and I have never been refused, even in fine dining restaurants for which this place cannot be called. They refused to give me one as they did not want to mix the food flavours. If I have paid for the food, after it leaves the kitchen, it is up to me how I eat it. They would rather throw the food out than let me have what I paid for due to their pride. I saw the manager talking to a waiter about me and pointing to me which was extremely unprofessional. When I asked the waiter for a takeaway box as well, even for a single chicken leg that would not mix with other food, he said that the manager had told him to refuse. However, they packaged my dessert in takeaway boxes which means that they are able to give away takeaway boxes and this is not an OHS issue, they just refused to for the main meal. I am extremely disappointed and shocked, I will not be coming here again and will be telling everyone to avoid this restaurant.More

We had a superb dinner at Daana. The experience started with incredibly warm and friendly service and continued through a range of delicious starters, curries and sides. The potato dumplings were a particular favourite. One of our party has Coeliac disease and he was delighted...to find that he could eat nearly everything on the menu (a very rare occurrence when eating out with Coeliac disease). Highly recommend this restaurant on every count.More

I don't think I have ever been presented with 36 different dishes in one meal. That happened at Daana's traditional celebration of the end of the Monsoon season in Kerala. Furthermore, there were two other sittings (of about 30 people each) before ours. That was...an incredible gastronomic performance by all the staff of Daana that required organization and coordination worthy of any military-trained body. It was a vegetarian meal, something that I rarely have, served on a banana leaf, the traditional Indian way. I tried for a time eating with my right hand from the banana leaf but gave up after a while, and used the spoon that was provided. Most people drank water with the meal as they would have done in Kerala. I noticed that we were the only wine drinkers but I don't apologize for that. I loved the amazing range of flavours and textures. Sanjay and Sunita - our hosts - took great pains to explain the dishes, some of which were novel, even for some of the many Indian guests. This fest was a highlight of 2022, never to be forgotten and hopefully repeated.More

Personal circumstances meant that we hadn't been to our favourite restaurant in many months. Our return - with a friend - showed us that Daana has become even better - if that's possible. The dishes from Bihar - where we once ran a school for...150 poor children in Parariya - were a revelation. As usual, Sanjay was the perfect host, aided by his able staff. He patiently dealt the dietary needs of our friend, who was included included at the last minute. We will be back, of course.More

Once again Daana provided a cheery, vibrant, warm, and relaxed atmosphere with delicious cuisine well above average standards. Always a delight to try the menu which varies and changes keeping the experience new each time. Excellent dietary requirement care. Thanks again Daana.

We had a lovely dinner with friends. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was very nice. Would recommend the banquet, which was very generous for four people.
