Although The Roost is a popular stop for coffee and a muffin and for those who want to purchase bread, etc. to take home, I cannot recommend the restaurant which is just over a year old now. We waited in a long line with no...More

If you enjoy good food, I do not recommend you try this place. Of the three things we ordered nothing was tasty. Onion soup was tasteless. No cheese no baguette just soaked onions. The meatloaf was salty and that is all the taste it had....More

While the ambiance isn't quite suitable for dinner, the pizza is fantastic! Mushroom being my fave. The Bakery itself is great for lunch or breakfast and the coffee is always good.

Your feedback is much appreciated. Our wood fired pizza is definitely peninsula renowned and our chef Sebastiano's pizza specials are gaining popularity each and every day. We hope to serve you again soon.

Thank you for the comments. Yes, Sebastiano does create real authentic Italian pizza and I'm not surprised he created something special for your wife. He is amazing and his love for his job shines through in every pizza he makes. Please stop by again soon..

Lovely location and decor. Friendly server. Came in for a quick meal before dropping family off at the airport. Ordered sandwiches and soup. For a simple menu it seems that it shouldn't take 30+ minutes for a meal. Kitchen maybe needs to re-evaluate they prep...More

The Roost serves great, simple food. Sandwiches, fresh salads, pizza, brunch items early in the day. The restaurant is clean and cheerful, not fancy. Everyone comes here for the good quality of the food.More

Description
We are a passionate farm! We create and share locally grown food and wines Situated in the heart of North Saanich's pastoral landscape, the focus is on local food and wine, and sustainability. More than just a bakery/cafe, The Roost roosts on 10 acres of farmland where we grow many items used to produce the food we proudly serve. The wheat grown and milled on-site is used to bake breads fresh daily. The blueberries, sheep, and a unique vineyard, all add to the authentic experience. You'll love coming out to our place! Whether you sit on the porch, get comfy in the secret garden, relax on our "chicken-bus", or laze at a picnic bench looking out over the farm and vineyard, you are sure to enjoy a passionate farm experience!
