Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not sure how I came to book a pizza-based winery restaurant for a birthday celebration but I’m so glad I did. Fabulous gourmet pizzas including unexpected combos (omg the garlic prawns) and lovely attentive staff coping well with a very busy day. I’ll be back.

Saw the great reviews online so booked a table (good move) & checked in for lunch. It was amazingly busy the whole time we were there but the staff did a great job, very friendly & accommodating. We ordered 4 pizzas based on the hype & they certainly lived up to that. They were fantastic. Pricing was OK & the wine was great, beers available also. Highly recommend.

If you have heard the rumours of the Reuben pizza, it's possibly better than anything we got told. Seriously, I don't know who came up with this idea, but the lovely team at FFC have nailed it. Seriously epic flavours, it's hard to order anything else when we go there.
Basic beer selection, but the wine tasting paddle is great value, and you get it for free if you end up buying 6 bottles, a great deal!
Catherine and the rest of the team run a great little show, just be sure you book ahead especially on sunny weekends as they fill up fast. Plenty of seating in the garden though, and the views over the Fergy Valley and the cows mooing in the next door paddock is pretty special.
For motoring enthusiasts, all the roads to and from this spot are possibly the best in the SW, just watch for gravel and honky nuts on the corners!

Very positive reviews took us for the first (and last) time to this cafe.
Worst pizza ever had in my life. Overpriced small pizza from electric oven with poor quality cheese (mozzarella ?) cheep cold pesto and raw red onion with no much tomato as their Pizza Margherita. Is this for real ? Dough tasteless flat and appear fried not cooked. I was not pretending to have a pizza like Pizzaca in Doubleview but this ? Wondering if dough are frozen because it came out really quickly. Fast food type with premium price.
Glass of Wine wasn’t great so we enjoyed the view.
2 Pizza Margheritas (small size)
1 glass of wine
1 330ml beer

Your comments make us question your credibility when making reviews as what you've said is untrue, unwarranted and misleading. We've checked your bill & corresponding eftos receipt and we can see you've overstated what we charged you - that's just wrong. The wine you drank happened to win the trophy for the best Cabernet in the Geographe Wine Region last year and is one of our best sellers so we'll let the wine speak for itself. In regards to the two of the same pizzas you were served (and fully consumed) both were hand rolled just prior to cooking and made to order. They were made fresh as are all our pizzas. The tomatoes and onions used were prepared that morning while the pesto garnished on top was also homemade. Our pizzas are gourmet style and we deliberately make our bases to be a thin crust so that the base balances the flavours with the toppings applied, not frozen like you're suggesting. We only use quality ingredients - especially the cheese - and our pizzas definitely aren't small - they've been awarded for being outstanding in taste, texture and value for money. Other customers on that same day were providing nothing but praise for our food, wines and service. You're also wrong about the oven and how the food is cooked. We make no apologies for our pricing of our food and beverages. Our prices are in line with industry standard and for a regional based service our pricing is very comparable to most urban and regional venues. Furthermore the beverages you ordered were selected from the premium products listed. There were cheaper options on the menu for you to have chosen from.
Next time when feel as though your experience hasn't been what you were hoping for try raising your concerns directly with the staff and venue rather than hide behind a keyboard and criticise from afar - have the decency to comment face to face and allow the opportunity to address matters right there and then rather than attempt to smear and attack a hard earned reputation of a small family business on a social media platform. We really do question the motives behind such an undeserved, untrue and unjustified review.

Right from the moment I walked in, the staff were super friendly, helpful, and absolutely nothing was a bother. I was with a table of 5 and I asked about separate billing. Not only would they happily do it (many Australian places won't), they had a great system in place for doing so.
The menu is mostly pizza, and what pizza it is! The one that took my eye was a Reuben pizza, in the style of a Reuben sandwich. It certainly didn't disappoint. I don't know what magic they used to make a pizza taste like a Reuben, but it worked. Absolutely delicious. Really thin crispy crust, and full of flavour. A decent size too (dinner plate size).
The staff not only offered us cardboard takeout containers for what we couldn't eat, but also offered to store our leftovers in their fridge as it was obvious we were going to be chatting for a while.
A great place, with great food and great people. (oh, and inside is air conditioned)

Booked an 11.00 a.m. slot on WA Day - COVID 19 rules - so we could sample some wine and have a Ruben Sandwich.
Neither the wine nor the Ruben Sandwich were a disappointment, in fact I'd go as far as saying both were amongst the best sampled for a long time.....a big call....but the silverside beef and the home made sauerkraut with Russian dressing was excellent and perfectly matched with their Primavera Rosso (which is served chilled) - left with a few bottles for home.
We're coming back to try the pizza.

My wife and I called in for lunch after hearing positive reviews. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful when asked for advice on food selections. The food did not disappoint. The reuben sandwich was amongst the best I've had, and the artichoke pizza with homemade pork fennel sausage was every ounce of deliciousness you'd want with a base cooked to perfection. We will be back to try some of the other delights on offer, particularly the wine when we don't have to pick up the kids.
As a local craft beer advocate, it would be great to have some of our region's craft beer to match your amazing pizzas.
Keep it up and thankyou for the experience.

We visited with friends and ordered share pizzas. Their reputation for Gold Plate Pizzas is well earned and deserved. Service was friendly and prompt. We were offered tastings of their wines before ordering a bottle of Tempranillo, which was enjoyable. We can recommend the pizzas - all five were fabulous. Thin crisp bases with plenty of toppings, all served hot and freshly made.
The view out across the paddocks with cows was a bonus, as was the outside area for children to play and entertain themselves.
We have no hesitation in recommending this Cafe for a tasty, friendly day out.

I had the Sufism of the day - crispy polenta salad. All delicious, just needed more and larger pieces of polenta cubes. The place is more known for its home made pizzas and they were large and looked delicious. Nice views of the valley if you sit outdoors. I would visit again.

These guys clearly have a passion for food. Delicious thin crust home made pizza bases, topping combinations that are so good, gourmet, and each one so different to the other. Every ingredient fresh and if it can be homemade it is. No frills or BS, just bloody great food.

This is how to put a place on the map. How to build community & keep people coming back from far & wide, with smiles on their faces & full, happy, bellies. We have been dining with this mob since arriving from Melbourne ten years ago. We celebrate with our family, friends & visitors on special occasions & any occasion. We absolutely love the hospitality EVERY time we visit. Their wine & pizza is beyond compare. They are one of the small businesses that put their heart & soul into their work, producing THE BEST PIZZA, this side of Lygon Street. Melbourne. Well done folks!

We celebrated my son Blake’s birthday for lunch. We were all so impressed from the 9 year old right up to the adults. We were a big table & they accommodated us beautifully. They were warm & friendly and so welcoming!! The pizza was totally delicious- so light, flavoursome & different. The wine was a perfect pairing, as well as the coffee/hot chocs. Even the little babycinos were top rated. The cherry on top was the best dessert pizza we have ever tasted. Absolutely loved our whole experience.

Wow! Five of us, five different pizzas to share. All awesome. My personal favourite is the garlic prawn pizza. We drank the
MOSTYN wine, new to the winery, and it was very enjoyable. This wine has a unique story that makes it so special. I bought a few more bottles to take home. This family run cafe is welcoming to visitors, and locals also love to come here at weekends to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and hospitality of Laura, Tim and their very professional and attentive staff. We hope to come back here more often as it is on our doorstep and and we love the way we were welcomed here. Thanks Laura, Tim, Shannon , Mark and all the staff. We will be back! 🤪🤪😳😳☘️☘️☘️😘

There are so many things to love about this gem of a place!
Firstly, the pizza! OMG! We had a four cheeses special and the Reuben...both were seriously next level. The reviews are spot on, these were the best pizzas we have ever had.
Secondly, this place is genuinely committed to making sure that everyone enjoys their visit. Catering for all ages, four legged friends and of particular interest to us, those with mobility challenges. Not only does the cafe have disabled parking and a ramp, it also has a wide and obstacle free space to travel through the building and a wheelchair friendly toilet!
I’ll finish by saying that the staff were all lovely, happy and friendly and it was just a lovely visit all round.
Can’t wait to go back.
