We had booked lunch and ordered around 12.20pm. Our lunch did not arrive for a good hour and twenty minutes later. As well as one of our meals being forgotten. The Bunya nut salad had pumpkin pieces that were undercooked and the food overall was...average. Plus they had run out of lamb shanks. The cocktails; however, were fantastic although had to wait twenty minutes for them. The chocolate brownie dessert was amazing. This would be the only food I would recommend.More

Perfect place for a cosy dinner after a cold, misty day - log fire and 130 varieties of whisky ! Great wine list too. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Very busy on a Wednesday night - sign of a very good restaurant. Scrumptious food -...baked brie; lamb shank; and pork loin crusted in dukkah. Yummo !More

Dined midweek for lunch, as we heard that the Bistro is booked out for dinner on long weekends. Approx. 25 minute wait for our meals to arrive, which allowed us time to soak up the beautiful scenery, and watch numerous kangaroos & their joeys forage...closeby. Husband loved his Bunya Burger with Fries, and my Vegie Patty Burger with Fries was sensational!! Both burgers were dripping with tasty goodness.More

Untrained staff at the venue turned what should have been a wonderful night into a disappointment at last drinks. Refused my daughter a drink because they couldn’t tell the difference between drunken eyes and crying eyes. Twenty other people could have been declined but of...course it’s easier to pick and bully a young girl. They all need a lot more training, 6-12 months in a pub situation would help. Doing a one day course shouldn’t qualify someone with so much power.More

Cosy restaurant with a good menu; very generous serving size. OK wine list but if you're a whiskey-lover then they have 260 of the 290 varieties for your drinking pleasure ! The fire would be nice on a cool night; outdoor seating also available.

Courteous service, clean premises. At the cafe the Bunya Burger was top notch and cakes well made. Close to the forest walk entrance.

Enjoyed a Christmas lunch for large group of us. We had pre-arranged the menu which included generous servings of hot and cold 'finger food', followed by a selection of desserts. We weren't disappointed. Helpful staff. Easy parking.

We booked for a dinner; there were 6 of us, all ladies and all teachers. We were asked for ID by the manager. 3 were able to show theirs, the other 3 had either a photo or their MyGov profile to show, neither of which...were accepted. The manager was very rude during this process, stating that we needed the original. Don't know very many people in this day and age who keep their actual ID on them to be honest... We ordered, and they took our orders to the kitchen. They came back 10 minutes later to say three of our mains could not be done due to "not having rice." Rice is a staple- who the heck does not have rice? Though the waitress was sweet, she had not been taught customer skills as she came back without a menu. She ran off to get one and came back, and so the 3 of us looked back at the menu and reordered. The meals then took 45 minutes long. 5 out of the 6 meals were terrible; either cold, runny (sweet potatoe mashed) or chewy (steak was awful). When we were given the bill, it was for the meals that we received and not the originals we'd ordered. We questioned this as we felt that that wasn't right, considering we ordered from the specials board and they couldn't fulfill it. So we asked a young waiter to fix it and he did that, however when we went up to pay at the counter, there was more of a mix up and so the manager came across to assist. However, he made things worse. He was not professional in his dealings with us, even though 4 of his young staff were watching on behind him, making it very difficult to communicate. He was arrogant, and could not withstand us so basically wrote us off. We walked out of there very dissatisfied and want everyone to know, that until under new management, you should seriously consider not going there. The Bunya Mountains is incredibly beautiful and worth the scenery, but a home-cooked meal at your accommodation, would be a thousand times better than the experience we had with it's cost on top of it. Absolute joke.More

We made a last minute booking and the staff did everything they could to fit us in. The weather turned cold and the restaurant was like a haven. We ordered the share platter and it was more than enough for two people for dinner entirely....There was chicken, calamari, cheese with chutney, bruschetta and a little cob which was fantastic. Service was amazing. We stayed for an extra wine. Lovely restaurant. Not cheap but perfect for special occasions.More
