As a family ran café we believe in quality, nutritious and homemade food. Our dedicated Chefs strive to create new, seasonal dishes, combining flavoursome and fresh produce. We are proud of supporting local suppliers and source only the finest ingredients. Discover our all-day breakfasts, brunch, fresh salads, famous burgers, daily specials, cakes and much more. Kids can choose from our combo meals and eat free every Sunday 8.30am-11am. If you are interested in catering we can provide a range of service from BBQ menus, tour group catering to weddings, the Park has over 26 shelters which can be booked for your next event. This is a really tricky review.
The staff are absolutely amazing and so friendly. The food is superb and tastes delicious. For some reason though, the time it takes people to order is ridiculous. I’m not sure if this is the cashier or the customer but every time we come in, we have to queue for at least 10-15 minutes to have our orders taken, which also means if you want to get another drink you have to line back up.
I would really suggest two tills to be operating. Even if there was a drinks and Icecream till only?
$6 for a side of bacon is quite high for under one rasher, especially when the menu says $5.
I still highly recommended coming as the food is great and the kids special is also amazing. Free kids meals with an adults is fantastic.

This place is usually so busy but most staff go out of their way to be helpful and informative. The cafe has expanded its menu to include plant-based dishes, and staff are knowledgable about GF etc. There are so many tables, but it's also easy to take way to go and eat in the park. They stock dairy-free magnums too!!!

Arrived at the Park approx. 12.30pm and decided to have a coffee before heading to the motor museum and elsewhere. Requested that the coffee be 'extra hot' when ordering. The request was either ignored at the till or by the person preparing the coffee and we were served tepid, at best. Drinkable but disappointing.

I did not expect that a restaurant like this(the only place next to a tourist attraction) would be a good place for food, but I was wrong.
We ordered some chips and a smoked salmon sandwich, and the chips were the best I've had so far in my travels in Perth. It was crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside. Amazing. The sandwich was also packed with smoked salmon.
Don't hesitate to stop by if you forgot to make meal plans before/after your trip to Caversham wildlife park!

We have been coming to this cafe on a regular basis for a number of years and the new owners treat us like kings and queens. Very personal service and always greeted with a smile, the food is good value with ample portion size and very tasty and we were given an extra piece of cake for being regular customers. Will keep coming back for sure.

We decided to grab lunch here before popping over to Caversham Wildlife Park. We ordered Fish & Chips, Pork Belly Burger & Potato Hash with Eggs Benedict. Fish & Chips serving was pretty good, fish was nice, tender and crispy and the chips were nice and generous. Pork belly burger was great. The pork belly was nice and crispy, with a good amount of fat. Potato Hash was yummy and the eggs were cooked well.
What topped our experience was the good service we received from the staff. One of the gentlemen was very attentive and checked in on how our food was. The kids were also given free ice-cream in exchange for high fives. Overall a very nice place to have a meal with your family.

Really unfortunate. A lot of stuff on the menu unavailable. A very long wait for food such that some dishes came out cold whilst others were hot. Only got dishes after two visits asking how long and they couldn’t say. An hour for food is too long. Was told half an hour. Plenty of space on tables, so not really any excuse.

After visiting the Caversham Wildlife Park, we went here to eat lunch. The fish and chips & chicken schnitzel was amazing! The portion is large and worth it. The salad was refreshing and the sauce makes you want to take another bite!

Nice quiet place with friendly staff and beautiful food. The ambiance and the sound of birds singing is nostalgic! Would love to have more choices of meat I.e lamb and beef on the menu please. Keep up the good work. W

My coeliac wife ordered the one option available that clearly said "Gluten Free" - a salad. It came out and had 4 tortilla pieces on the salad. My wife ate most of the salad and then had a tortilla piece, and immediately knew it was not a corn tortilla. After asking the staff, it was confirmed that the tortilla pieces were flour tortillas...
The staff seemed more interested in making sure I knew it was a stocking issue, rather than accepting they had messed up enormously.
Just unacceptable that something that is GF is continued to be sold with 4 massive chunks of gluten in it. Just leave it off the salad, it's so simple it hurts.
Usually go here for coffees when in Whiteman Park. Won't return.

We never take the time to write a review but after our experience at this cafe today We felt We had to. This cafe is one of the worst cafés we have ever been to and we eat out a lot.
I’m not a coffee drinker I will have a hot chocolate. One of my hates is a hot chocolate in a glass. It’s never hot. My partner knows this so he always asks for it in a cup or mug. He did today and the receipt said coffee in cup and hot chocolate in cup. But my hot chocolate came out warm in a glass. When I mentioned it to the cafe girl she said its in a cup. Clearly it wasn’t as the coffee was in a cup and mine was in a glass.
We ordered the kids burger and chips as we weren’t very hungry. The burger had a tomato relish which was awful. It was a kids burger why not tomato sauce. The brioche bun was burnt top and bottom and burger patty was burnt /cremated beyond recognition. When looking inside burger brown hair was found. My partner and I don’t have brown hair. Chips were so salty why are kids chips salted. How can you get a kids meal so wrong.

Highly recommended cafe in park food is fantasticaid a visit for mum's birthday. Staff always very friendly, excellent food! When visiting Whitman park is always my go to for nice a lunch, cake and coffee. The staff clearly work very hard to keep it this way and make a massive effort with the food and drink. An absolute gem. Food, service and drinks were all amazing. The eggs benny with bacon was creamy and smooth and the matcha iced latte was light and tasty. First time having onsen eggs and I'm in love, t. Will definitely be back next time we're in park :)

Came here for breakfast with my gf and it was so good we had to come back before our trip ended. Customer service was great, the food amazing and the atmosphere quite homey. It's too bad we live hours away, otherwise we'd be regulars for sure! This cafe is famous of its egg benedict and that’s one of my brekkie favourites, so worth a try. My Egg Benedict, one with mushroom and one with bacon. Both cooked beautifully and tasted delicious, Highly recommend cafe near Caversham wildlife park

We had a delicious lunch at the Village Cafe in Whiteman Park. Food was fresh, delicious and great value for money, and there was a great selection of food on the menu and specials board including vegetarian and kids menu. Service was friendly and quick. We'll definitely be back.
