Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Called in to buy cheese and we were very pleasantly surprised. The lady who served us was so nice. The cheeses are amazing and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend a visit.

We stopped here on our way south and had their ice cream and toastie... best toastie south of Sydney. Great blend of cheeses and nicely toasted to perfection. The ice creams were great with unique flavours. We bought a few of their cheeses and were...impressed at the variety.More

Found their cheeses very ordinary. Then found out they buy their milk from Sydney. False advertising. Very disappointed.

I was passing through on my way down the south coast to see what they offered. I did some cheese tasting which was lovely, and perused the gift shop. There isn't a lot else to do really but they had a small menu of hot...food with cheese and dairy based options. I went for a simple cheese toastie and a lime milkshake. It was pretty tasty, not spectacular but satisfying for a snack, not substantial enough for a meal but there was a pub across the road offering larger meals. I'd recommend half an hour here at the most.More

This was an amazing stop with wonderful ice cream 🍦! The decorations were very cool and the range of ice cream flavours was endless with lots of unique options. I loved the kakadu plum ice cream.

Had visited here before and was sad to see their fridges were full of ice cream ( that was way overpriced ( Ben and Gerry’s is cheaper and that’s saying something)), where as before a large selection of cheeses was available, ordered two Lattes and...this took 20 minutes to get ( on a quiet day), in the end gave up on trying to buy some cheese as service was very poor, left disappointed and sadly won’t be back.More

Amazing to find something that lives up to the advertising. Lovely decor:- old milk bar style furniture with pressed tin counter fascias and an open fireplace with stone surrounds that would be great in winter. Delicious cheese toasties with leek and onion and relish on...the side. Coffee good and ice-cream tasted really creamy. Cheese tastings available, focus on Australian native flavours. Also sell honey, eggs etc. Seemed slightly understaffed and would be quite a wait if a busy weekend.More

Came here around 5 years ago and just loved it so this was a MUST STOP as we made our way down the South Coast. In fact it was one of the highlights - stopping to have a milkshake. What made it a nice experience...was just the whole branding of this place - felt like a dairy shed and it was serving milkshakes, ice cream, hamburgers. Food is a bit pricey but you just pay it. Having a strawberry milkshake here tasted better ... it probably is the same back in Sydney but somehow it it felt yummier! Enjoyed every last drop. Friendly staff and service. Lovely to walk around and they have good seating spaces - indoor and outdoor.More

This is a great place to break your journey. Inside & outside seating & lots of goodies to eat. They also sell a fairly wide range of souvenirs plus cheese!

Very confusing. No menus only a chalk board. They need better signage, e.g. food orders here and ice cream orders here. The server got our order wrong, food was ok but slow service.

Great place to stretch the legs and recharge the batteries with a coffee and a walk around the shops. Good view of the pond with chickens, llamas and cows.

Very impressed by decor of this small complex. Use of old wood, recycled materials, machinery etc (attractive fountain out of a milk (?) churn) - but all pleasantly non-Disney and non kitsch. Excellent Iced Chocolate, coffee and pie. When asking for some water to drink,...two beakers were promptly supplied. Top marks for not ushering us to a glass fronted fridge with expensive non-eco sensitive plastic bottled designer water. Happily there didn't seem to be one. Top marks too for excellent loos. Not sure how it would be on a busy day - didn't check parking as there was plenty on road outside on the day. Happy with service and range of offering. Did not visit cheese making "shed" and did not stay the night. But can vouch for an excellent "cafe" pit stop.More

We came across the Bodalla Dairy Shed after searching for something to do in the area, and the website mentioned cow feeding, but what was advertised as cow feeding, was completely different once we arrived. Maybe you shouldn't say on your website to come and...feed the baby cows. My son was thoroughly disappointed that he could not feed them. Watching a staff member feed them was not the same as being able to see your child do it. If it was due to covid-19, then perhaps you needed to inform everyone there, or put something on the website We were there on Friday, but the ice cream lab was not open for icecream testing as per your website, and when we were inside the cafe, we were told we could only taste two flavours, again if it was due to covid-19, you need to advise this. We did order two toasties, and they were deliciousMore

I spent a relaxing couple of hours in this little town. I started in the Hippie Sticks shop where I purchased some things for myself and my family. I then went to the Bodalla Dairy where I did cheese tasting and also bought some cheese....I browsed around the other shops and finished with lunch at the pub. A really friendly little place.More

I have visited many times as a former local and have never seen any GF menu items, some of the slices may be gluten free. There is a cafe across the road though that does lots of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan dishes. The... More
