We chose to sit away from the rat race and had a quiet meal in a room to ourselves. Otherwise we would have been pressured and rushed to get out by a certain time. We were in Paringa for a special occasion and had travelled, so we wanted a relaxed, non rushed meal and drinks. The service was above average but wouldn't say it was outstanding. The menu - well that's a different matter. It was so hard to choose. Everything sounded delicious, but it was when the staff member mentioned Crumbed Mushrooms were part of the vegetables on offer, I had decided that part of my meal. My husband ordered the Trio of Seafood and I ordered the Chicken Breast with Legends Sauce, both to be served with the vegetables. OMG! The servings were HUGE. The mushrooms were divine. Actually, both meals were divine. Would have no hesitation in returning or highly recommending anyone stop in for a meal.

We were staying at the caravan park across the road and were told the meals here we very good. We called in for lunch. We received a warm friendly welcome. We ordered from the lunch menu, crumbed steak and chicken schnitzel. Whilst we were waiting for our meals, we enjoyed a glass of house white was was very good. Our meals arrived promptly and were well presented and a good serving size. Both meals were great. The cook came around to see if everything was ok and that we were happy with our meals, that was very nice, to see pride in their work. I highly recommend the food and service at the pub. If I lived here this definitely would be my go to pub. Thank to all for a great friendly good quality lunch.

Having previously lived in Renmark recent visits saw me heading to the Renmark eateries. This time we stayed at the nearby Paringa caravan park (also a great place to stay) & were recommended to give the Paringa Hotel a go for meals. We were very impressed with the menu & quality of the meals. Current owners are to be commended for their efforts & it seemed to appeal to the locals which is a positive sign. We were going to eat there again the following night but ended up getting take aways which were also good. You won’t be disappointed.

Our experience here was a disappointment. Having read in other reviews that there was a salad bar, we thought that would be nice. Unfortunately, no salad bar (Wednesday lunch). I ordered roast pork...pork was OK, crackling was cold and soft. Chips were OK, but the boiled vegies were long past their prime, lukewarm and rubbery. My wife's ordered their vegetarian surprise. This consisted of chips (which were OK), the same rubbery boiled vegetables I had and a small side plate of salad. No sauce, which made the dish dry.

We phoned and booked for dinner at the hotel and arranged a courtesy bus from the caravan park. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Good menu with a great choice of wines and drinks available. Wine prices were better than most.We all enjoyed our meals then headed back to the caravan park on the bus when finished. The icing on the cake was when the driver got to the boom gate he put in the code and dropped us off at our cabin and sites. Couldn’t have asked for any better service than that. Thoroughly recommend.

Great country pub, with good meals and great service. Been here twice over our 3 week adventure to the red centre. We got the pubs bus in and out of the big 4. It’s not a gourmet pub, but solid meals with a great team working the kitchen, bar and floor. The owner even picked us up and dropped us off! Howz that!

Went here with family for a Saturday lunch. I had the Salt and Pepper Squid. The best you could describe the food as is "average". My sister had the same and agreed with me. I'm not sure what the others thought, and maybe dinner is better?

This is the hotel you want to eat at when you come to the Riverland. Personalised service from the staff and great service. The food is magnificent and the crumbed mushrooms are to die for. A great selection of salads to go with your meals. A great place to go with friends and it doesn't cost the earth. By the way, Thursday night is Schnitzel night.

The hotel has been updated but the rooms are a bit dreary . Price was only $100 ,cheaper if done on-line. Keagan on reception and bar duties was very helpful, smiling & friendly. Built probably 50s & like all motels did not put in power points on both sides of the bed. The bed was comfortable and shower hot. Meals in pub were good size & fresh

This was decent pub food, nothing more than expected. Salad bar was a bit unadventurous but ok overall. Although a bit out of date the ambience was warm and welcoming. The carpeting meant that it was not too noisy. Would definitely return if we were in the area again

Had to leave Mildura and cross the SA border in a hurry before it shut, due to Covid so booked the 1st motel over the border. Was a relief to arrive to a comfortable room with good air-conditioning and wifi. Ended up staying a 2nd night. Had a nice meal at the restaurant. If you are staying in Paringa take a short drive up to Heading Cliffs lookout.
