Popped in for lunch on a very wet day and was instantly cheered up by the friendly staff and atmosphere in the beautiful building. Food was lovely and plentiful also reasonably priced. The gift shop is a must visit stocking an amazing array of good value goods. A very special place I will definitely be back.

This is a lovely place that has evolved over the years and in my opinion is now too big and too busy. I suppose it's a sure sign of success really. Anyway if you can get in the food is lovely even if the tables are crammed in a bit too close together. Try and visit on a quieter week... More

My friend and I visited on a wet afternoon. We escaped from the rain by calling into the Wolds village restaurant. We were very pleased with our visit. We were made very welcome and experienced excellent friendly service and the coffee and walnut cake was delicious and the tea piping hot. All in all perfect for a wet cloudy day.... More

Booked in advance for 6 people for Sunday dinner. We have had afternoon tea here before and was told by a friend to try the Sunday lunch. We was not disappointed, good selections of starters and mains. The soups were delicious and the mains were very tasty and excellent portions sizes. Friendly staff and good value.

Stopped by for a hot sandwich with the family. Food was great and the tea was plentiful. It's reasonably priced with a large car park. We would go again if we were out that way.

Called late on a Saturday afternoon for tea. I ordered a pot of coffee. My colleagues ordered tea. When the order arrived I was not given a cup or any other vessel to drink from. When I went to the counter to ask for a cup the staff laughed at me, and question why I would need one. Eventually a... More

Oh dear, looks like our staff confused you with someone who might have a sense of humour !! Obviously there was a mistake made, we would never expect you to drink out of a teapot! The waiting staff were obviously trying to make light of their mistake & then corrected it immediately. Nobody was trying to insult you in fact... More
