Very enjoyable pub lunch ... lots of outside space for two small boys ... lovely presentation of fish'n'chips in look alike frying baskets complete with "newspaper" from the 1930's ... a very relaxing lunch just over the bridge ... and yummy, too!

Acting on previous reviews, we found Northcote Tavern just over the Harbor Bridge. As it was a family lunch with small boys, it was an ideal situation. Service was prompt and wait staff cheerful and obliging. The menu range was as expected for a tavern but reasonably priced, as was the round of drinks. A sunny day and plenty of... More

This is a great place to enjoy an afternoon in the sun in the garden area. Food is excellent- I had the fish and chips which were tasty and reasonably priced.

Brought a visitor from Helsinki here to experience the real kiwi pub feel. It was a beautiful sunny evening, and we could sit outside and enjoy the peep of the harbour bridge and flags flying. Lots of good kiwi folks and families with us, it was an authentic touch of newzild and a very relaxing way to while away a... More

The Northcote pub is an institution. It's an old style hotel with an 'English' style pub and bar. The place is fantastic in the summer with a garden and lawns with outdoor tables. The food is reasonably priced and excellent. We love the pie which really is hearty and very generous. This pub is well supported by the community.

Great place to catch up with friends, great location and service but food a bit of let down. Had fish and chips, fish was not fresh and salad was wilted. My partner had steak so saturated in mushroom sauce he only ate part of it. Will go back for a drink but not for the food.
