Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Been coming to this gem of a cafe since they first opened their doors – feels like we're part of the furniture now! The warmth and friendliness of the staff, led by heart-of-gold owner Derrick, make each visit a truly pleasant experience. Best coffee in...Warrandyte, hands down. Whether it’s a quick bite, leisurely brunch or Tamil feast, we’ve never been disappointed. Plus, the prices are just right – good on the wallet and great for the taste buds. It's inspiring to see this not-for-profit cafe's commitment to social causes, its support for local artists with an in-house gallery, and particularly their advocacy for asylum seekers. There's a truly vibrant cultural dimension to the cozy ambiance. In a nutshell, this isn’t just a cafe. It's a community spot that feeds your belly and your soul. So, if you're after fantastic coffee, scrumptious eats, and a place that truly cares about people and the arts, you've gotta check this place out.More

we all ordered coffee before looking at menue - when it served they were all cold. Told waitress and all she could say was that they were busy and must have been sitting on the bench. No apology, offer to heat them up or repalce.

When the popular cafe two doors down couldn’t accomodate us, we walked into Now and Not Yet for breakfast. First impressions were of a teenage team manning both the coffee machine and the floor. Limited menu but the coffee and food came out quickly. Coffee...had good flavour but was on the weaker side. Hubs was happy with his breakfast roll but the poached eggs on two pieces of dry sourdough with no butter offered or provided on the side, lacked flavour. Interactions with the unpolished and inexperienced service team made us feel uncomfortable and we left quickly after finishing our meal. Was surprised this cafe had such positive reviews based on our experience. We won’t be returning especially when there are so many stronger options in Warrandyte.More

Four of us enjoyed a very nice brunch here recently. All dishes were cooked well and presented well. The menu has a good range of options and the coffee is excellent. We haven’t been here for a while but will certainly return.

Fabulous fish and chips there today. Service is little bit sketchy at times, but you have to recognise many staff or actually volunteers which assists the social enterprise to plough more of the returns back into it's benevolent work. Staff checked we have checked in...and checked our vaccination status. Safe place. Ace place!More

Reading the rave reviews, was expecting a bit more. Coffee was ok but not exceptional. Ordered a brownie, which was offered to be warmed. Said yes please. It didn't arrive with the coffees. Reminded the waiter, and so it arrived - cold, and very hard...to my taste. Not a big issue, but a simple thing to get right on a slow day. Nice vibe, though.More

This is a favourite hangout for me and my family and after some lovely upgrades, I'm delighted to say it seems even better than before. Lovely child-friendly service and menu, good pricing and great value. Loved my corn and halloumi fritters, scrumptious. Our little man...of 3.5 enjoyed his toasted cheese and ham croissant and we all loved the delicious chips, crispy and golden on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Chai tea was a hit too. We'll be back, again.More

Excellent coffee. Excellent chai tea. Excellent food. The service was a little lax, but very positive and cheerful. We had a great brunch, will be back. And you get the bonus feel-good of a social enterprise. Nice :)

Our first time to this cafe today, and we will definitely be back. I had the soba noodle salad with chicken. It was a good sized serve and really fresh and tasty. My friend had the corn fritters which she really enjoyed, although she did...say it wasn't quite enough to fill her. It was a good excuse for her to have dessert and chai which was equally enjoyed. The meals were really well presented, and the staff very knowledgeable and attentive.More

It was the first cafe we have been able to sit and eat at since the end of March. It was so so good. The coffee was perfect and the ‘Nany toastie’ was very yummy. When it first came out, it was without all the...filling so they remade the sandwich, filling it with all the goodies.More

I have frequented Now & Not Yet for many years – almost every time I visit the beautiful township of Warrandyte. The setting opposite the Yarra is stunning, the ambience is calm and relaxed, the temperature perfect and the background music pitched perfectly. I never...cease to be impressed with not only the outstanding coffee (every time) and delicious food but the highly personable service. Derek and his extraordinary team go to great lengths to get to know customers and make them feel known ... Not just served. In fact, I find it hard to compare Now & Not Yet because I don’t know another cafe – at least in Melbourne – quite like it. In addition, they give away free (!) sparkling water… So everyone can feel special and live like a prince (or princess)!More

My daughter and I dropped in for a light lunch on a Sunday and the place was nearly full, a sure sign of a successful cafe. We both enjoyed our huge bowls of vegetable soup and the service was excellent. Staff were friendly and welcoming....Would definitely come again.More
