We had a party of 6 adults and one child. We ordered separately and we took a birthday cake. For $5 pp they served the cake on plates with passionfruit sorbet. They do have high chairs but next time we would take our own plastic cutlery and plate for the 2 year old.

Celebrated a birthday with friends. Gorgeous place with a Tuscan feel. Menu is varied from wood fired pizzas through to set 3 course meals which are around $80 per head. Beautiful food and very attentive and friendly staff. Outdoor areas are worth securing as have sweeping views of the olive trees and grape vines.

What a view! Went there 2 weeks ago and was really happy. I felt like I was in Tuscany. The way it is set out is beautiful, looks like a postcard. When we walked in (we had a reservation), we were greeted straight away from a very polite young girl and was served before I even knew it. The service was good as it was just how we liked it. We got Entree's to share and then our mains came out. We were very happy. For main I had the Scialatielli pasta with the seafood and I wiped the plate clean, thats how yummy it was. I am very fussy but everything was so fresh. We also had the Sangiovese wine with our meals and it was perfect. Had such a lovely time, and highly recommend this place. Both my partner and I have re booked for the end of May :)..

Our booking was at 130pm for a friends birthday of 8 people. We waited an hour and an half for our main course. Not asked if we needed more water or another round of drinks. We were so hungry we asked for more bread which we were told would be 4$. Our mains arrived at 320pm. (Good thing we got more bread..) Lovely food (still hungry though small portions) but included a beautiful view. $65 for 2 courses did not feel worth it. The service was shocking for such a beautiful venue. I won’t be returning.

Hi Megan, its disappointing to hear that you had an extended delay on your main meals, we are very sorry about that. Unfortunately, we experienced issues with our printers on Saturday which become quite a challenge for wait times. Even so, we always aim for swift and friendly service so will address this with the team in an effort to improve. Thank-you

We have just returned from lunch at Olivigna. I am this prompt in reviewing only when it is outstanding or terrible. Unfortunately, our experience this afternoon was almost terrible apart from the service. Me and my wife had the quail for entree which was well cooked and tasty but then there was this abundance of pretty tasteless cubes of potato in a mayonnaise which made the dish very unbalanced. I then had the lamb for which I had to ask for another sharper knife to try and get through it - well they offered to take that back and replaced with their gnocchi with fennel sausage and broccoli cream!! Being in an Italian restaurant I thought it would be a winner!! That dish was even less conceived than the prior and was left uneaten. My daughter ate her gnocchi but then she ain't fussy! We went on to cancel the desserts given the experience. So don't go there if you are after fine dining. In fact don't go there if you are looking for a good meal. A couple of ladies next to us were having a good time but then after all those cocktails who cares what you are eating. I do have to say that the waitress was extremely understanding of our woes. I did eat a delicious meal there about 5 years ago - something must have changed.

We appreciate you sharing this feedback. Needless to say, remerging post the very extensive 2020 Victorian lockdowns was a challenge for us and the broader hospitality industry. We are very pleased to share that we are now back in our groove offering some of the best food, service and overall experience then ever before. Thank-you.

This is our second meal at Olivigna and both visits have been excellent. This time a Saturday lunch. The service was very good and the food superb. The bartender, Jordan is competing in the World bartender competition, so we tried one of his cocktails (pretty good); he also came over to our table seeking feedback and explained the competition, which was cool and we wished him good luck. Two of our party shared the lamb shoulder (highly recommended) and the barramundi special of the day also very good. A great venue and we will be sure to return.

We went to celebrate a work colleagues lunch. After an accident by our waiter resulting in a broken wine glass and a long and elaborate cleanup, our drinks were served 50 minutes after our arrival. Having watched several guests who arrived after us get served and us raising a concern, we were told the system had crashed and they had realised 20 minutes prior that our order never made it to the kitchen (and it’d be another 15 minutes coming). Lucky we had no appointments booked back at work - the five dishes arrived in three separate trips from the kitchen; the first we’re losing heat by the time the last arrived. We all started our meal more than 1hr 50min after our arrival. For all this inconvenience, they “comped” the wine and bowl of chips. For a restaurant promoting their fine eating profile, this was anything but that experience.

It was very unfortunate the system crashed in the middle of service, however we acknowledge the wait time is unacceptable and do apologise. We hope to discuss this in more detail directly, so please email us at restaurant@pietrogallusestate.com.au. Thank-you

We booked months in advance and arrived with high expectations given the apparent popularity of this place. We were scouting for a wedding venue for our son and his partner. Sadly, things went wrong from the first 5 mins. Service was abysmal, lots of people wandering around but no one actually serving. No one could explain the menu to us, the 2, 3 or 4 course set menu was a complete mystery to all the waiters and, indeed to us. We opted for the 2 course “Anna’s feast” even though no one could tell us what it comprised. Apparently the kitchen had no idea either. After 45 mins and 4 waiters, we called for the manager to tell us what was going on. She mumbled about staff difficulties and offered to “comp” our drinks because of the delay. Then an antipasto platter arrived, it was ok but did not cater for the gluten free guest at our table. (Yes, we had advised at booking and ordering). Then a couple of pizzas arrived followed 20 mins later by a green salad and a small bowl of chips. Yep, that was the feast, at $60 a head. Ridiculous. Sorry, we won’t be booking a wedding here. I won’t mention the general ambience, which includes a lovely setting and nice fitout, but marred by multiple screaming babies and hard surfaces which makes talking impossible.

We have been to your restaurant many times. Unfortunately when i booked the restaurant, we where not told that it is a 3 course set menu. also not told that a 7 year old had to pay $50 for 3 course menu does any child of 7 even eat that much, not even a drink of lemonade came with it. we found it to be so expensive and will friends about our experience. We wanted to support restaurant that have had it touch over the lock down, We also could not work due to the lock down, then when we went out and spent to much on lunch we are very disappointed.

Thank-you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry you were disappointed with your experience, however a 2-course sharing menu is an option for lunch on weekends for both adults ($60p.p) and children ($35p.p). We are doing our best to offer a great experience for all guests, in light of heavy government restrictions, increased food costs and staff shortages. Thank-you.

We enjoyed our lunch at Olivigna Restaurant. The service was good, and the surroundings are beautiful. I cant give 5 stars because I ordered the cheese platter for dessert, and it was really poor; 2 very boring cheeses. Its not cheap; Lunch for 2 was $170 (with 3 glasses of wine), so for this price I think every course needs to be spot on.

The surroundings of this restaurant are just gorgeous particularly at this time of year with the grape vines and lemon trees at their best. However I found that the service was really lacking today. I did not feel that any of the staff really enjoy working in hospitality and it shows. A warm greeting at the door is a bare minimum for a place of this calibre. Our waitress was pleasant enough but I could have done with a second glass of wine but I didn’t bother as nobody came anywhere near us after our meals were served and then it was too late to have another glass. The food is ok - it was lovely of them to accommodate for my elderly mothers request for a smaller meal due to her age. I really wish I could like this venue more.

I really want to like this local venue, but they don't appear to be very interested in providing the quality of service/guest experience to match their gorgeous venue. This was my second visit, the first time I was inside with my mum and the dining room was uncomfortably loud, and the mains were small, expensive and underwhelming. Decided to go back for pizza on the terrace with my family and we were told to wait around (awkwardly for 30 minutes) until we saw a table become available. At which point it resembled a bunch of seagulls fighting over a chip as there were several groups waiting. Guest were then expected to "fight it out amongst themselves" as there was no formal procedure in place to allocate tables based on waiting time. Most guest were in 2's and 4's however the tables were long 'communal style 8-10 seaters' so we ended up sitting at a table with 2 other (seperate) couples. Ordering was via QR code which was annoying as you had to click on each item to read the description and then either select it or click back (and wait to the page to refresh) which made the process take around 10 minutes. Payment was expected before you could place your order with no provision for a gift voucher...so i had to go to the tasting bar and repeat the whole process with a staff member. A self-serve station was provided for water, plates and cutlery (giving canteen vibes). The food itself (we opted for pizza and antipasto) was again underwhelming. Pizza's were unevenly topped with sparse ingredients and nearly impossible to cut...not sure if this was a result of the blunt cutlery or the incredibly thin, yet extremely hard to cut bases. The wine was nice and reasonably priced at $52 a bottle...the two small scoops of gelato for $12 was outrageous. The staff seemed justifiably annoyed at having to repeatedly tell guest to wait around and then deal with their annoyance at the lack of structure. Honestly, the view is lovely, but I could have spent $175 on better pizza and wine elsewhere.

Hello, we sorry to hear our alfresco dining experience did not meet your expectations. This trades as a casual dining area with large communal tables offering an authentic Italian alfresco vibe. QR code ordering is in place to enhance the customer experience by minimizing wait times/queues at the bar, but unfortunately the third-party app does not allow voucher redemption, we understand the inconvenience here and do apologies. Your feedback will be taken on board. Thank you.

We had visited Olivigna several years ago for dinner with our family and loved it. We were lucky to be given a $300 gift voucher for Olivigna recently, so some months ago my husband and I went for dinner, and had the sharing plate. We were disappointed to find it was a set menu and we wouldn't have ordered some of the food on the menu if we had a choice. We visited again for lunch last week in a group of 6 (and only to use the remainder of our voucher) and it was again very disappointing. Very over priced, with disappointing portions. My husband and I both chose pork belly for $38. It was about 3" square in size with a small spoonful of some rhubarb jus. No sides as these were extra. We ordered semi freddo for dessert and it was so tiny for $16, that when it was brought out we thought it was a mistake as it just looked like a spoonful of sorbet. The waitress didn't know either as she had to check with the kitchen, and came back to confirm this pitiful dessert was in fact our $16 semifreddo. (FYI The tiramisu looked a much better size). Service was on the slow side. More than one of our group tried to find the lunch a la carte menu on their website but it seems to be missing or very hard to find. I wonder why?? When you book online it asks if it's a special occasion. Ours was an anniversary, but no fuss or congratulations was forthcoming. We won't be back.

We have been to this restaurant on many occasions and have enjoyed our experience most times. This place has a beautiful ambiance, lovely spaces, wine tasting and mostly lovely food, if you could ever go!!!!! The problem is that they have the most disgusting phone attitude when trying to book. We ring almost weekly to try and visit but every time without drawing a breath it’s always always “sorry we are fully booked” And we never ever get a cancellation!!!!!! Yeah right!!!! Not even ever is there a case of let me see what I can do!! Just No No No. it’s the only restaurant I know that would not offer an alternative in any shape or form or even say that they could help on another day. I asked what about next Sunday, the answer was No! What about the next Sunday, still No. With this type of attitude don’t even bother trying, just disgraceful, you are not that good get over yourselves.

I had heard great things about this place, so we booked for a Sunday lunch for a very special family occasion and travelled two hours to get there. Unfortunately the food did not live up to expectations. Pizza was off the menu. We chose the two-course option. None of us enjoyed our meal. The barramundi was tasteless, sitting atop celeriac which was swimming in oil. The beef was half fat. The gnocchi was undercooked. The vegetarian cauliflower dish was nothing but cauliflower! The young staff though pleasant, seemed run off their feet and didn’t refill our water glasses or offer extra drinks or coffee. They basically ignored us once they’d served our good and rushed us out for the next sitting. All in all a disappointment.
