Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went here today for Breakfast and I have to say for such a beautiful setting, the service or lack thereof and the standard of food was very disappointing. I ordered the eggs Benedict which arrived cold at the table and looking like my young child had made it. It was an English muffin cut in half with one piece of round deli ham on top and a poached egg on top. The hollandaise sauce was minimal and Luke warm at best. It was all very bland. No side garnish, no nothing to make it look any different to a home cooked breakfast that had been slapped together. The service was non existent besides being shown to our table, once we’d gone to order and pay for our food, there wasn’t a single word spoken to us. I left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. ☹️

This restaurant, set inside a garden centre, is almost always busy, but after many visits with a particular group of friends who always want to go there, I cannot understand why it is even still in business. There is no table service and most of the food comes out of pre-cooked packages. For what you get, the value is appalling. To make matters worse, the draughty toilets are located well away from, and uphill from the restaurant itself making them most inconvenient especially in bad weather.

Grilled cheese and corned beef do not make a Rueben Sandwich. It used to be lovely here now it’s just bland. Even the wait staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Such a shame they got rid of most of the nursery for an also-ran cafe.

This is the second time I have been disappointed with Warran Glen Cafe. The last time was four years ago, but decided to give it another try. I was dying for a really good cup of coffee so we thought it would be lovely there as the surrounds are so beautiful. I have trained to use coffee machines and you really do have to steam the milk well. If you don't do it for long enough you end up with what I had yesterday. The coffee was lukewarm at best. Last time I had complained at the cafe (politely), the criticism wasn't taken very well, so I decided not to bother this time. Hence my review. Please go and train to make a decent cappucino and don't stop steaming the milk until it has reached temperature.

My family and I came for breakfast on the weekend. I used to love coming to this cafe but the kids were extremely disappointment as there was no small pancake options for them anymore. The eggs benedict were served on untoasted cold english muffins, no butter, small portion of ham and 2 poached eggs. It was a dish you made at home if you had only 5 mins to cook. This meal cost $16. I felt embarrassed being served this at such a nice cafe. Unsure if the owners had changed at all but the breakfast this time around was horrible.

The cafe at Warran Glen Nursery is a most enjoyable cafe to visit. Amazing choice of food, friendly staff. To wander around the surrounds with water and ducks is most tranquil, or shop at the nursery and the amazing , really amazing huge gift shop is fabulous.

The Warran Glen Cafe is across a small bridge over an ornamental lake behind the garden centre. It has a bit of a 'theme park' feel to it, with the obvious Japanese-garden references and large scale, but it is undoubtedly a pretty location. The food was very pleasant and service was good, although I can imagine that at peak times, the order-at-the-counter queue could be very long.

I Have taken friends and family here at least twice a month for years now and quite honestly have always had considerate and helpful staff experiences. I am surprised to hear of a bad review.

Recommend to book, if you want a balcony seat. Plenty of choice, something for everyone, delicious breakfast, good service and good coffee. Lovely surrounds, beatiful gardens and gift shop to also enjoy.

Wife and I attended on a Tuesday morning around 10.30. The place was relatively quiet, good food and service and a lovely place to sit back and relax. The garden centre was nice to stroll around as is the gift shop. I really liked visiting this place. In reading the other reviews go during the week if you can.

Pretty venue but crowded when we visited. We ordered prawns in tomato sauce. Mine arrived cold in the centre, so was sent back’ to be reheated and came back too hot to eat. Microwave blitzed? The tomato sauce tasted strange and the prawns still had the tails on. I couldn’t eat mine so $27 wasted. I would certainly not go back for the food.

We attended for sunday lunch. The place was extremely busy and the wait staff were being run offtheir feet. This cafe is at the rear of the main sales area (50 metres back) and whist being undercover is very open and airy. We irdered flathead tails & warm asin chicken salad. The food was very good and was heartily consumed. The only negative was the wine. We ordered a Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlbourough region on NZ as we are great fans of this region. Regrettably, upon tasting we were disappointed. On checking the bottle we saw that it was a 2019 vintage and was far too ''fresh'' to be drunk now. Apart from that, it was agood experience.

Ordered two large coffees in the cafe after spending several hundred dollars on plants in the nursery. Waitress brought us one large and one small. She then refused to acknowledge the mistake, made me take out the receipt to prove it, and then realising the cashier had put it through incorrectly still demanded we pay the extra $1 to make up the difference. No cash on me so I was dragged to the till to put $1 on my card. Made me feel like a bit of a criminal for someone else’s mistake and no acknowledgment for their error. So we won’t be coming back. You just a lot of business over a dollar.
