We only called in to Daintree Ice Cream co because we were hot and really needed a cold bottle of water. We were greeted with a lovely man explaining to us about the ice cream and where it has come from and how they made it. He was so passionate and friendly we had to try it. We are creatures of habit and never try anything new but thought lets give the "out there" flavours a try and we were not disappointed. The flavours were amazing, portion sizes were huge and great value and we didn't have the yukky feeling in our stomach we usually have when eating regular ice cream. We even got to buy some souviners that we hadn't seen anywhere else in the rainforest. It has really set the bench mark for good ice cream. We will be back

We stopped her to try their flavors of the day. They charge $7.50 for 4 little scoops or a small cup is filled up. The flavors were delicious. I loved the passion fruit flavor the best. I stuck to the sorbets.

Made fresh on site from fruit grown in their orchard, the Daintree Ice cream company offers you a cup of decent sized cup of ice cream for $7.50 They serve the 4 flavours of the day in the cup - which could be enough to share between 2 as they are generous portions. We tried the wattle seed, mango, banana and a vanilla, all of which were fresh, smooth and delicious. I can recommend stopping in here for a refreshing treat after exploring the surrounding rainforest.

Received a warm welcome and exciting introduction about the recycled fruit we would be eating. Vegan options were available and just as exciting to the palate. With 7 buses in attendance I imagine the proprietor is creaming it....boom boom.

we had heard about this place through some friends who recommended it so we decide to check it out. we were served by a friendly lady that spent time to explain the different types of unique flavours. we ended getting the special cup with contained four different flavours. the servings are a decent size, for a alright price ($6 - $7.50). the ice flavours were divine, and the ice texture was so perfect. we highly recommend the vanilla bean and black spatoe. we did the little walk which takes a view at the beautiful orchards.

This is more than an ice cream, it’s a destination and an experience! The hard work of choosing is alleviated by choosing the tasting bowl, which has four speciality seasonal flavours for $7.50. All the flavours are made on the premises from the exotic fruits they grow there. They probably would not have been what I’d normally choose, but they were surprisingly fabulous and I loved the authenticity of the local produce. You can choose from more conventional flavours in extremely generous single serves for $6, but go with the seasonal offerings and try new taste sensations! Dine in the beautiful tropical garden and afterward you are invited to stroll around the orchard and see all the amazing tropical fruit trees from which they make their ice creams. Open 12-5 every day.

It was great to try the sample set of ice cream ( coconut, wattleseed and mango, jackfruit) then walk around the fruit trees with the map provided. By then we were hot again so had to try some more ice-cream flavours. The kulfi (with mango pistachio and cardamon) was great, coffee caramel was yum too.

This place was so good that we visited twice (second time wasn't even on the way)! We choose the signature cup with coconut, soursop, wattleseed and yellow sapote. Given how we only knew one of the flavours (coconut), it was a bit of a taste adventure and a wonderful surprise. There was a beautiful balance that was subtle and simple. Customer service was equally brilliant, with a wonderful review of the fruits at the beginning. Fast, friendly and efficient service, especially given how busy it can get. The lady recognised us the following day and was kind enough to offer us a different flavour (jackfruit instead of soursop) - still delicious. I honestly don't think this place could do any wrong. Don't miss out on the self orchard tour to further enhance your appreciation of the ice-cream. 12/10 for both ice-cream and customer service :)

I didn't expect the see an ice cream shop in the middle of the Daintree, but the background was explained to me, how they mostly use locally sourced fruit & unusual fruits brought in from other countries to make some unique flavours from fruit grown on the property, so I had to try their specialty sampler. It was reasonably sweet, not too tart, pretty nice. It's a fast operation, they pre-make the ice cream scoops ready to hand to people one by one for when tour groups turn up, they take payments really quickly. We were only there for 3 or 4 minutes. They make good products & know how to get their product out there, great for tourism.

Great service and great range of flavours. They offer five different flavoured scoops for $7.50, depending on what fruits are in season. I tried and loved the Chai and choc chip and it was delishous

We stopped in here while heading north to Cape Trib Horse Rides. We had earlier stopped at another ice cream place which disappointed us. No disappointment here. My wife and I ordered different flavours and both our ice creams were creamy and delicious. This has to be one of the best ice creams we’ve ever had. They also have an orchard where they grow their own fruits that they use in their ice creams. If you want to walk around, they give you a map of the property. Allow about 20 minutes to walk around. We loved the ice cream so much that we stopped on the way back to Cairns to buy more. We just made it before they shut at 5pm.

This place is very popular but if you are looking for a regular ice creamery visit with typical flavours and ice cream in cones you will be disappointed. There are limited flavours available and most are of unusual tropical flavours. They are already in plastic tubs to be eaten with a spoon. I enjoyed my coffee and cardamom but the kids didn’t like their chocolate ice cream.

We both chose the four scoops option, which is four icecreams made from fruits in season. Coconut. Passionfruit. Wattleseed. Soursup...never heard of last one but it was the best. Creamy. Delicious. Lovely setting. Cant believe the other icecream place rated higher...this definately far better option.

We stopped here on our way back from a tour. The unique thing is they grow the ingredients used in their ice cream (mangos, etc). After listening to the gentleman describe the flavors of the day we decided to try the tasting bowl. OMG. I’ve never had such good ice cream. They do have other, less exotic flavors but go with the daily specials. You won’t be sorry!

We drove up from Port Douglas for a day trip to try the ice cream... and it was worth it. The ice cream flavours were delicious and we really enjoyed walking around the grounds to visit all of the different fruit trees and learn a bit more about them. Some very unusual and amazing fruits. The lady who served us was lovely also.
