On a terrible wet afternoon, having travelled from Bury St Edmunds to visit Woolpit, this lovely place offered some solace. Two charming ladies furnished us with some delicious cakes and coffee towards the end of their afternoon 'shift'. Most acceptable and most appreciated. Well worth a visit.

Looking for a lunch stop on a long drive we spotted this on trip advisor. A lovely friendly welcome and a pretty old house in the village centre. Yummy jacket potato and wrap plus tea for two. A big display of cakes too, although we didn't indulge. Definitely worth popping into Woolpit for a stop here.

Friendly welcome and offered an 'outside' table in the very small yard behind the property was accessed by walking through the kitchen. Our order not taken for 15 minutes and then 10 minutes after that I was informed that my dish was not available, food arrived another 10 minutes after that! The whole thing was well meaning but totally disorganised.... More

The only cafe open for lunch it was quite busy and given a choice of a table outside or inside on a warm day we selected the later only to be asked to walk through the small kitchen where food was being prepared. Seated in a tiny courtyard and somewhat out of sight we were forgotten for about 10 minutes... More

Quite small coffee shop in the main square of Woolpit. All homemade, nicely presented and very reasonable priced. Will certainly be back

Looking around the village on a very sunny day when we came across this lovely style building which has the museum upstairs (to gain access go next day) The two ladies working in the tea rooms are very helpful with an assortment of homemade cakes.

Wonderful little place for lunch. Great service. Tea served in proper tea cups, home made cakes, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. Very cosy and homely feel to it. Fantastic value.

Six ladies, celebrating the birthdays of two of us enjoyed the most wonderful Afternoon Tea on Friday, 11th September. What a lovely spread and plenty for each person. An endless supply of tea and everything home baked. The Table was beautifully set up with pretty matching china. We felt very special. What good value for money this is too.

My wife and I popped in for some lunch while Grandad looked after the kids (1 was sleeping & the other watching a film!!). I enjoyed a delicious sandwich while my wife had a Jacket Potato. The filings for both were fresh & tasty. Then came the cakes - Oh, the cakes!!! Yummy! Why was this place not around when... More
