Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went for lunch on a Wednesday. Not many people in the pub, it was really quiet. The service was not good at all. We waited almost 50 minutes for our meal to arrive. Yes, the meal when it did come was nice, but not...worth the wait. Shame the really slow service let the place down. Could not recommend.More

This pub is certainly a disgrace to the public. For starters, the publicians verbally abuse customers (infront of others) for stuff I have no idea about. We unfortunately have seen it twice now. The kitchen usually is super slow most nights, whether it's 6 people...in the dining area, or 60. With the times we have been there, the kitchen has closed over a hour early compared to advertised times, and the bar staff.. something is horribly wrong. They must be treated horribly because the way they treat customers.. is absolutely stuffed. There is one gentlemen's who actually understands customers concerns. I think his name is Dean?. The rest, are certainly interesting (disgusting interesting) the manager, you can see she favours some people over others its disgusting the type of behaviour we see from her. We even saw bar staff kick a lady out with a pram before when she wanted a drink. Not sure if we should return, love the atmosphere as in customers. But not sure we love the management and customer service! Great customers but worst bar staff and management.More

Booked early for a Saturday night meal....recommended...Hotel was busy.... promptly taken to our table after getting drinks at the bar.....pub nice and warm on a cold winter night....ordered cheese and bacon garlic bread as an entre...which arrived after around ten minutes....best garlic bread I have...ever had....just delightful....we ordered our meals at the same time Mabels Rump 450g and Rib Fillet 300g....see the pics attached. Meals arrived after around 45 minutes. As you can see the 450g rump....which was not thin...covered the entire plate. Managed around half and gave up requesting a food container which was promptly provided. Measured the rump left over when home and found 306g left....so bring your appetite!!!More

Called in on our way home from Warwick, didn't have food, but what we saw looked amazing. A great historic pub, established in 1893. There is plenty of space for eating, lots of character which is sadly being lost in a lot of pubs. Good...selection of drinks and good prices. Nobby is not too far off the main highway, and this is definitely worth a small detourMore

We camped across from the pub and had dinner. Above the average pub food, good menu and large servings. We were there Sunday night which seemed very busy and booking a table is recommended

An absolute gem of a Pub. The staff could not have been kinder, friendlier, or more welcoming if they tried. Incredibly generous portions of delicious food. It never happens that you have a group of 6, all in agreement to return as soon as possible....It's a beautiful drive only 30 minutes from Toowoomba. Winner, winner Parmy Dinner....or lunch....😊More

A very good experience to visit Rudd's Pub and to see some of Australia's history. Author, Steele Rudd the writer of Dad and Dave and My Selection etc, is the main feature. The pub is a delight to see, a fair dinkum country pub. The...outside and inside of this pub is decorated with historical artifacts and paintings, too many to mention. See for yourself. The pub staff are friendly and helpful. The meal was very generous in size and tasty, and the cost was very reasonable. A good selection of drinks at a reasonable price. The dining areas are what you would expect in a country pub, clean and functional and in character. A hint, I was there for lunch and it became very busy, so expect a wait to be served, but, why rush, take in some of the history while waiting. A very good experience overall. Will go again.More

We attended Ruds pub on the Sunday 8 January 2023. After waiting 30 min in line to order and then sitting down with group. They all got their meals in an reasonable time they were busy I waited 1.5 hrs for my meal as I...believe they forgot. And I agree mistakes can happen but it is how the mistake is handled . After 1.5 hrs my partner approached the pub to say she ordered a caesar salad and everyone in the group had eaten and were looking to go to cancel the order as they obviously had forgot and issue a refund. The women said we don't give refunds. After about 15 min she was handed a take away container with her cesar salad in it and when she sat down and opened it omg it was a mess hardly 2 sprigs of lettuce with a ton of croutons that looked like they had come from the deep fryer oily with an egg on top it was extremely disappointing as was our first time there. The lady was extremely rude and sarcastic towards my partner upon her leaving commenting in a sarcastic manner you have a good day now. My partner was so angry and left in a distressed state and had to be calmed down for the ride home.see picture for the slop that was served in a takeaway container for $20. Poor poor effort I feelMore

While we did enjoy the historical aspects of this little pub, we needed to wait for almost 2 hours for our meals and that was with three trips to the counter asking when our meals would be arriving. The fact that we had my 80yo...father who is diabetic needing to eat was a driving force in chasing up our meals. The meals where absolutely amazing and HUGE when they did eventually arrive to. Enough to create food comas all round.More

We have been to this pub on many many occasions, its a must when we are in the area. The food is always fantastic, home made pub grub, you will never ever leave hungry. Gail the wonderful, hospitable owner, went out of her way to...make my husband the most beautiful birthday cake for his 60th, end of July 2022. It was almost too good to eat. We will always be coming back to this nostalgic little pub in Nobby, you won't be disappointed with a visit.More

Better to make a reservation, large meals, but service can be slow. Also there is a great craft shop across rd and also Sister Kenny museum.
