Popped in with the family for a Sunday Lunch as visited many times previously and never disappointed. As per usual, the food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We find this pub pricey but so worth the money as everything is perfect. Our only small gripe is that some of the tables have very 'stylish' chairs that make sitting... More

Reviewed this last night looking for somewhere different to celebrate my husbands 69th birthday. Friendly staff with a good welcome and surroundings were immaculate. Food excellent we both chose the same meal which was Belly Pork with Mashed potato ( can't remember exactly what it was called ) and veg, husband chose the cheese board which was different as he... We visited the Moody Cow on New Year's Day and were made incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived until we were the last to leave hours later. The food was all absolutely delicious, the lamb that 3 of us ordered was the best we have ever tasted. One of the party ordered beef which also was the best she... More

Not really sure about this place. Had Sunday lunch here which was a bit strange, small portions with purees etc on the plate which really didn't go with the food. Country pub trying to be posh!!

Ate at the Moody Cow for the first time today. Absolutely brilliant. Everything from the first greeting when we arrived to the goodbye as we left was top notch. Food was delicious. Sticky toffee pudding to die for. If you're in the area definitely stop by although book in advance as it was extremely busy. Great service, great food and... More

We keep coming back here to eat as it's our favourite place. I even joke with the landlord that one day I'll be able to find something wrong! To which he replied one day! but not today. Main courses were faultless and the puddings were to die for I had sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce and a scoop of... More

We had Sunday lunch here. Onion soup (oh so good), followed by roast lamb for me and a lasagne dish for my wife. Sticky toffee pudding for the wife and chocolate brownie for me, washed down by a very fine Merlot and sparkling water. This was the best prepared and presented food we had during out long weekend break. If... More

As ever, our visit to the Moody Cow was excellent, thank you. We have been trying to get in for Sunday lunch for weeks but I never get round to it in time before you're fully booked. This attempt I left enough time and we were lucky enough to get a table for lunch on our 15th Anniversary. As always... More

Managed to get an early evening table here at short notice when visiting the local area. Very friendly and accommodating staff and a reasonable selection of drinks. Menu very good with lots of interesting options. We had buttermilk goujons to start, followed by venison and slow cooked pork belly. All were well cooked and tasty - only down side was... More
