Nice pub in a charming location provided buffet for a large party - disappointing in terms of both quantity and quality + poor service. Might well be fine in general but a poor show here.

Had lunch here after visiting Goodrich Castle (we wouldnt have found it otherwise). We loved the look of it from the exterior, and the menu also looked good. The interior didnt quite meet our expectation, nevertheless we had a lovely lunch. We were greeted by...More

Excellent food, excellent service and reasonable prices for the quality on offer. We could have chosen to dine elsewhere, but the popularity of this location persuaded us to eat here night after night and each night it was as good as it gets.

Arriving back on a Friday night, my family and I were a bit too late to cook dinner, so we tried the Hostelrie. They were, in fact, fully booked, but said they'd squeeze us in if we were ready to eat immediately. The service was...More

Our evening meal at The Hostelrie started badly with a 50 minute wait from walking in on time, to being served our meals, with no explanation for the delay. Even though we were in no hurry, we were getting a little agitated given that barely...More

We came here for lunch. Good varied food with multiple options for vegetarians and good quality food. The building is of interesting Gothic design and the beer garden very pleasant. Worth popping in.

From the minute we arrived we felt uncomfortable. Its obviously a place for locals and its made obvious when you're anything else. The barman was off with us and I found he was making excuses for us not to order. We did end up having...More

Hi, Sorry , Like previous replies, I am not sure as we only ever eat there ( although we keep promising ourselves a weekend) and there's no mention on their website. Definitely worth a call as they are very helpful. I am... More
