I had only been to this pub once before, but we popped in for a well earned pint after a fabulous snowy walk. When we got there, they were only open to receive resident guests - the bar not opening until 17:30. However on seeing...More

Lively, clean, light, regulars bar, good food. Staff excellent and with some wit. The ribeye steak and accompanying items excellent and the hake and stir fry went down a treat with the partner.

Food on offer was quite typical of pub grub and well cooked but quite expensive for what it was. £15 for a burger, £12 for Ham, Egg and Chips and at least £20 for anything more adventurous.

Nice pub in a charming location provided buffet for a large party - disappointing in terms of both quantity and quality + poor service. Might well be fine in general but a poor show here.
