Beaut fish and chips. Tasty and not too greasy. Fish tasted nice and fresh with thin crispy batter. Service was a little slow considering the number of customers.

VERY helpful staff, husband is coeliac. We bought fish (GF), coffee and a treat (GF)and on their advise went to foodworks to get chips to go with said fish as foodworks chips are GF.
The owners (mother?) is coeliac so we felt comfortable with their advise and that it would be safe for hubby to eat.

Undercooked fish, cold burger, and mediocre chips. If it wasn’t the only take away shop in Burrum Heads I would of definitely gone elsewhere.

After the 4th attempt it was finally open, the service was really slow and there was only 2 people infront of us. After they started wrapping our order we then got told another 5 minutes while they then started to cook part of our order (sausages) because they ran out and couldn’t count how many they had. The chips were also a bit under cooked but the fish was ok.
I wouldn’t recommend this place as they are not open often enough or long enough, I think they need longer hours and more attentiveness to their customers instead of spending time chatting or standing there on their mobile phones while working.

We have been here several times over the last year or so and each time the barramundi has been cooked to perfection, they manage to get it to the right spot before it is overcooked. How they get this consistently right I don't know. Lovely thick pieces too. We drive from Eli Waters as it is better than anything closer in HB that we have tried.

Something we always buy in the 13 years we have been holidaying at Burrum Heads. We always look forward to a couple of meals of fish and chips from "A taste of Burrum." This time we didn't go back for a second. The fish batter was unbelievably greasy and the chips were nowhere near as good as they were before. We were very disappointed.

Arrived at 5:30 and ordered 2 pieces of red emperor and chips. Received 2 tiny pieces of fish that did not taste like red emperor and a handful of chips.
Service was slow and very unfriendly. Very disappointing and would not recommend.

Best fish and chips, potato scallops and chips and burgers we have had for a long time.Service great, prices excellent, considering how everything else has gone up.
We loved sitting across the road on Burrum Heads beach, eating the yummy food, serenity plus.

Had Barra it was muddy taste over cooked and extremely Greasy. Don't bother buying Here. Best options are in Hervey bay.

Had the crumbed red emporer, salt and pepper calamari and chips. Best fish and chips I've had in years. Not too greasy, cooked perfectly. The calamari was delicious, shame 8 had to share it with the family.

Stopped here and had local whiting and chips. Best fish and really cheap. Would highly recommend this place
