Its worth the drive out to this place. The food and wine are exceptional. My starter of ragu (maybe sausage and procini) with big flat pasta was the best I have ever had. Nice cosy atmosphere, just make sure you book ahead, so worth it!

We had lunch at Osteria Le Panzanelle. It was surely a good sign that the majority of the tables were occupied by locals. The restaurant is located in the rather non-descript village of Lucarelli and would be an easy place to miss. We started with bread and superb Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This was followed by four different types of... More

Maybe I'm on another planet. Or maybe we went to Osteria Le Panzanelle on an off night or an overly busy one. Finding it was hard enough (as another reviewer said, it is in the middle of nowhere). Indifferent and forgettable first course. Lasagne or eggplant parmagiana and I can't remember which it was, so blurred was it between the... More

Good restaurant with great food at reasonable prices. Roadside restaurant in the middle of nowhere with varied menu and outstanding service. Great steaks and excellent wine list. Worth the visit. N.C,

Had dinner there one evening since it was only a 5 minutes drive from our hotel. I had the grilled lamb chops and my wife the steak which I had the chance to taste as well. Great atmosphere and delicious food, highly recommended!

We joined a few friends who live nearby this establishment for dinner. It is a great local osteria located right along the roadside (park across the street). Friendly people and great food- very local vibe. I shared a massive and delicious bistecca with a friend. Note, this place is always bustling so make a reservation if at all possible.

We enjoyed a fantastic lunch from the recommendation of Castello la Leccia. Family operation, and it shows. I had a home made pappardele with rabbit ragu, and my husband had the ossobucco, both fantastic. One of the family Kitty's decided to enjoy lunch with me as well. I highly recommend, and sit outside if weather permits.

Unbelievable, don't waste your time or energy on this place. The staff are shocking. We have been discriminated against because we are not Italian. You would NEVER get this in New Zealand. Do not go there, you will be disappointed. The staff need to be trained hospitality and manners. Rude and unacceptable behaviour from the hostess.

Very good food. This is a fairly small place so I suggest you make reservations. The pasta dishes were excellent and relatively large. The restaurant is very reasonably priced. The food was as good as the food and restaurants costing almost twice as much
