My husband and I came to have coffee at around 7:30pm. The waiter told us that hot drinks are not served after 4pm. However if we order desert then we can have tea/coffee. The restaurant was not even full. After we sat down and ordered...desert and drinks a hostess or maybe she was a waitress approached us and said we can’t have our order and that we have to order food. She was absolutely adamant and we had to leave. We would have ordered food but we did have dinner. No apology, no attempt to soften the experience. Big disappointment as we used to come often. No more. We went across the street to Budapest and were accommodated with such warmth. Not recommending Goat House.More

Excellent all round casual dining venue. Good menu with something to please a fussy crowd, large seating areas, some suitable for larger groups, prompt friendly service and reasonable prices. The owners and got the formula right. I had a lamb salad it was excellent except...that the lamb had gristle in it- please cut that out - it’s really hard to eat and spit out in front of other guests.More

We had dinner here from 7 pm on Saturday 20.2.21. It was booked by friends who live in the area. Two families catching up after a year of lockdowns in Victoria and also international separation. So exciting. From the outset trying to get any sort...of attention from the staff was difficult without waving and calling out. We were a group of 7. We ordered as entrees a number of share plates to be shared by the group and then individual main courses. To our surprise the main courses arrived. The entree share plates had been forgotten. The staff offered to have the entree prepared and sent after the main course but frankly the moment had passed and we declined this unusual suggestion. Our friends were very embarrassed by the poor service and the non appearance of the entrees. The Goathouse really needs to get its act together. We would not dine there again. It was shambles.More
