All our ingredients are sustainably sourced, using local producers and fishermen from the area. With a truly unique and elegant design style, WILD’s atmosphere is seductive, serene and magical, tables are set under the canopy of the jungle and the striking cocktail bar not only boasts a huge selection of quality and premium spirits we have a superb signature cocktail menu alongside a menu of modern twists on classic cocktails.
MICHELIN Guide: Good cooking

We were staying two nights at Sana Tulum (different review) and when I started trying to find places for my husband and I to have dinner, I looked into the Michelin guide. While there are a handful of rated restaurants, I chose Wild based on the menu and the proximity to our hotel (directly across the road basically). I showed the menu to our driver/guide and he enthusiastically suggested the Huitlacoche as it's a traditional and hard to find dish. It was an easy walk to the restaurant. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation which was at opening (we are early eaters) and there were a few other diners there waiting as well. The hostess was quick to come over as soon as the restaurant opened and got everyone seated. We had a nice private table off to the side. The restaurant itself is unique and beautiful in line with the general design and feel of the Tulum area. There is definitely a jungle feel as others have mentioned. Fortunately the weather was very mild during our trip so it felt nice dining in the open air. I do not believe there is any indoor seating but they do have a section of covered seating in case of rain. I suggest wearing sensible attire and comfortable shoes. We were fortunate that there also was not an abundance of mosquitos during our trip but we did end up asking if they had some bug spray we could use, and they obliged. There are also free roaming cats, which doesn't bother us at all, but it is worth mentioning for other potential guests. I assume as natural predators they are welcomed to control nuisance animals like lizards etc. (we often see resident cats at resorts as well) The staff were all very sweet to the cats, as were the other diners. Bottled water is the norm in Tulum as the tap water is not potable. I believe we paid around $6 each for bottles of water. Cocktails in Tulum are generally pricier than other regions with a simple mixed drink being around $15. Which we did order a couple and the bar service was swift. We ordered four dishes to share - Ceviche, Huitlocoche, Prawns and Sea bass. All were beautiful in presentation. My husband was not a fan of the Huitlocoche, which has an earthy mushroom kind of flavor. It was my FAVORITE. So that worked out because I got to eat the entire dish, less one bite from him lol. I would order that dish again 100 times if possible. The prawns were my pick and sea bass was his. We ended up switching plates because the prawns were a spicy dish. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing. And as the evening went on, the restaurant filled up completely. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal experience! Since we only had two nights, I'm glad we prioritized this restaurant AND booked it well ahead of time.

Best food we’ve had in Tulum the whole visit. Lovely atmosphere with nice music at the perfect volume, really beautiful setting, and the service was consistently friendly. Our waiter Raoul gave us some incredibly useful tips that made our whole meal just that much better, such as suggesting a different order to eat our dishes and giving advice on the scale of the portions. Really knowledgeable and a lovely sense of community and good humour through all the staff. The food of course was absolutely DELICIOUS—the ravioli is a must-have and the pork was divine. Definitely try the salmon ceviche too. Prices aren’t cheap but we’ve had considerably worse meals for considerably more, so by Tulum-standards it’s practically a bargain. If you’re staying nearby, WILD is a must-visit!

We hosted our wedding reception at Wild after visiting earlier in the year. I can tell you that the restaurant is to die for. Wild is the perfect name that the vibe deserves, and the food is Michelin worthy. The dishes are as beautiful as they are tasty and we remember every single bite. Don't get me started on the cocktails.. they are all creative, balanced and the presentation is gorgeous. Working with Karen and the Wild team was so seamless, making our wedding planning stress-free. Karen welcomed us with our favourite cocktails on arrival and the energy that the team gave throughout the night was everything. We are already planning to come back at our earliest possibility to relive the memories and re-taste the food. Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!! <3

Dined at Wild for a "Mom's Getaway" with three other girlfriends. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. It ends there... We decided to do the tasting menu. I should preface this by saying that I am from New York, and am blessed to live in close proximity to many diverse food options and phenomenal restaurants. My experience at Wild however fell very short. The 9 course tasting menu was underwhelming, to say the least. The oyster was passable. The sea bass ceviche was the worst ceviche we had on our trip - it was very fishy tasting and lacked texture. The beet salad was passable. The prawn was overpowered by chorizo. The octopus was so overcooked and chewy it was tough to get down, and most of us couldn't finish the small serving. The ravioli was pretty good and the flavors were there, but there was only one small ravioli so that was over fast. The main entree, the sea bass arrived and unfortunately was raw inside. Completely undercooked and inedible. After inspecting our food, the waiter offered to have the fish re-cooked, but two of the four of us lost our appetites and did not want the replacement dish. We finished the tasting and received our $700 USD bill without any consolation for the main entree being inedible. When we asked, the manager graciously took 10% off of the bill. I could not believe he was not more apologetic for our experience. Serving undercooked inedible food is certainly something to be extremely apologetic for, even more at a restaurant of this self-proclaimed caliber. We walked along to find dinner, and now I warn you so you don't spend your last night of vacation completely disappointed (and hungry).

Lovely ambience, terrible service, small portions, food was tasty but not what I expected. Ordered shrimp dish and after 40 minutes it was more like ceviche, shrimp was indiscernible, GF ordered mushroom ravioli, there were 3-4 in a foamy broth; again tasty but minimal and food in the dish. It started to rain, everyone got an umbrella except us. Had to ask twice to be moved to dry spot, by then food getting wet. $6 water did not follow with the move to dry table. Had planned to order dinner but this was clearly an off night for Wild. $106.25 for a water, 1 wine, 1 cocktail and 2 appetizers. I fully understand that dinner anywhere in Tulum is $150-200, but I expect good, timely service, our appetizers were presented 30 minutes apart. The last pic is the shrimp dish.

We discovered Wild on our way back to our hotel (Nomade) and we were looking for a digestive drink, before going to bed. That’s when we met Bianca, who greeted us at the hostess stand and welcome us. She took us to the bar and then we met Cesar, who recommended one of the best Vermouths we have tasted and told us about his Old Fashioned. That’s when we decided to make a reservation for dinner the next evening, not knowing what we signed up for. Well, let me tell you it was an amazing experience thanks to Bianca, Andrei, Matias, Tommy, Cesar and their amazing tasting menu, masterfully paired to an excellent selection of wines and beer curated by Cesar. We take our hats off to the excellent service, mixology and culinary experience at Wild. It was our first experience, but we are certainly looking forward to the next. Thanks to all of you!!

We have been to most of the highly recommended restaurants in the hotel zone in Tulum during our stay. Wild was a Michelin guide recommendation. Of the other Michelin guide restaurants we went to, this was our least favourite. The service was okay but not perfect like Hartwood or Arca. The food tried to be creative but both my wife and I did not love our meals. My wife ordered the Prawns but did not like it at all and gave it to me and I gave her my choice. The prices were in line like the other restaurants except for the price for a glass of wine. The prices went from about 350 to 650 Pesos which sort in line but the pour was only 125ml or about 4 ounces, very small. I would not go back.

We visited the restaurant on 17th May . The staff were immediately friendly , welcoming, and attentive. We chose the tasting menu. It was 9 courses . The menu was thoughtful, and the quality of food was excellent. The staff guided us through the courses and shared our delight at the tastes and flavours . Tulum is expensive, and you can feel you are being ripped off. However, this meal cost around ÂŁ80 per head, and we felt it was well worth and a really special meal . We saw the racoons briefly, but they were shy . This was a really lovely high-quality restaurant.

What an amazing find in Tulum. The food was incredible and the service was attentive and friendly. The waiter took the time to not only explain what each dish was but what part of Mexico it’s from. It was a great food tour of Mexico. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Tulum.

Wild ruined my birthday! When we first got there the hostess was very nice and showed us to our seat. Everything went downhill from there! The name of the restaurant is wild but they mean literally. We were caught off guard by the 10s of raccoons that were coming down the trees and walking near our table. Literally inches from us. We asked to be moved to a table closer to the main crowd and the hostess obliged (again she was awesome). That disclaimer should be given when booking this restaurant. Nowhere else in the same vicinity had raccoons just roaming their property. At the new table we waited and waited. Our reservation was at 8pm. We did not get ANY food until 9:20. When the food started to come it did so out of order (mains before starters, middle courses last). It was a mess. The flavor and plating of the food was nice, HOWEVER both my prawns and scallops were under cooked. Under cooked to the point where both were gummy and opaque. Not shiny as it’s supposed to be when cooked. I kept the shrimp and didn’t say anything but when the scallops came out clearly raw I sent them back to be cooked. The waiter came back not with my scallops but to tell me “the chef said it is how we cook scallops maybe you don’t know how they’re supposed to be cooked”. Outrageously rude. When the bill came my uncooked scallops were still on there! They never even brought them back to me after I said they weren’t cooked! Worst birthday dinner ever! But the real kicker came when as soon as we got in the car I got an email from OpenTable saying the restaurant canceled my reservation. Very weird considering we are there and paid and had just left. Then it hit me, if they cancel then I won’t be able to review the restaurant on OpenTable!!! This is their MO! Be very wary of their reviews. They are actively blocking people from leaving reviews if they know it will be bad. I would never eat at this place again! I had to email OpenTable proof to be able to correct the cancellation.

Lovely intimate restaurant set in the jungle. We had the 9 course tasting menu which in Tulum restaurant terms was a bargain (around ÂŁ75 each) Small plates, beautiful subtle flavours that really show off the local cookery. Standout dishes were the beetroot salad, the prawns and the pork belly. Leo the floor manager has his staff running the place smoothly and efficiently but massive praise to our amazing waitress Georgie who really looked after us and made the whole experience a total pleasure

Wild was an absolutely gorgeous restaurant that my fiancé and I visited in Tulum. It feels super cozy and intimate with the jungle vibe and feel you expect from Tulum. Food is crafted with adventurous eaters and foodies in mind, it was delicious! We enjoyed a couple of cocktails and wine that were great as well. Our server, Agustin was very kind, attentive and quick. We’re considering this as a wedding venue and one of the servers gave us a full tour with complimentary champagne that was a great touch.

Pros- the ambiance is out of this world. The staff are so nice. I highly recommend the mezcal tasting experience! That was definitely worth the price! Cons- it seems like they needed more hands on deck the night we were there. Service was painfully slow at times. I ordered the 9 course tasting menu. The lag time between courses was painfully slow and the taste quality of the food went down noticeably about halfway through. A lot of the food was also pretty rich, lots of oils and creams slipped on. The squid was overcooked. Would have loved to see more fresh ingredients used to enhance the flavors. Wasn’t crazy about the dessert. Some of the courses were nice? But overall I was not impressed with the tasting menu. I would return, but I wouldn’t order the tasting menu again. I’d just get an entree. My husband’s steak was amazing! I think they were definitely understaffed the night we were there and it seems like this really had an impact on the food quality and timing of our service.

My husband and I couldn't have asked or a more perfect wedding, and it was thanks to the setting, service and food that Wild Tulum provided from beginning to end. First, the venue. Set back in the jungle in a beautiful and upscale section of Tulum, this truly felt like a space enveloped by jungle. There was an upscale intimacy to the ceremony, bar and dinner space that was a delight at dusk, and even more magical as night fell and the space took on a romantic air. Now, the food. The dinner and cocktail service provided elicited "wow" from every guest. The appetizers passed after the ceremony were exceptional, and the family-style meal was both incredibly executed and perfectly approachable. The cocktails were the best we've had in some time, and made at scale to accommodate 45 guests at that. And finally, and most importantly- the service. Karen and Nicole, who helped guide us from planning through the special night, could not have been better at what they do. They're keen sense of how to make the night special and patience with two frazzled fiancees exemplified amazing service. They were kind, funny and brought ideas to maximize guest experience that we hadn't yet even thought of. The servers and bartenders were, as one of our guests put it, "equally stellar and casual." They managed a large crowd of strong personalities with admirable ease and graciousness. Every moment of the experience was perfectly paced, from beginning to wonderful end. Again, thanks to Karen and Nicole for acting as true de facto wedding planners and for making this truly a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you Wild Tulum- we'll be back to celebrate our Anniversary:)
