Lovely restaurant in the centre of the village. Interesting, extensive menu - my tuna steak was cooked exactly as requested. My husband had a haggis starter which was apparently fab. Decor is eclectic and cool - old newspapers are on the toilet walls! Going back soon to try the taster menu.

The bistro continues to provide great food and service at reasonable cost. Over many years now we have visited for a 'treat' but in truth it is a very affordable restaurant. What stands out is that there is a pleasant ambience and a varied menu which includes some tried and tested favourites. We go back for the risotto, black pud... More

We have visited the Bistro many times over the last few years and have always had great food and service. However on our last visit it wasn't as good as it has been(normally five stars). A few items were a bit less flavoursome. No bread offered to the table or with the soup! Hopefully just a one off. Still a... More

This restaurant arranged a birthday buffet for a large family celebration. The food was very good and the service was excellent.

My favourite place to stay in Wylam: Rooms well furnished and individually designed: Food in the restaurant is absolutely top notch, good service and very friendly hosts: If your planning a stay book early because it's usually full

What a little gem. Ate here on Saturday night - birthday meal with my nephew and family. The prawn starter was quite honestly the best starter I've ever had followed closely by the ribeye steak which was tender and cooked to perfection. Finished off with the white choc cheesecake which was gorgous. Good wine choices too. Lovely place with friendly... More

Interesting setting which is very cozy despite the weather being awful. The food was different but excellent. A risotto and black pudding starter was very good, as was the chicken stuffed with haggis. Well worth a visit

I recently revisited this cosy little restaurant with my husband. We eat out about once a week, and we like to try to find new places, but more often than not we are disappointed. When we've had enough of mediocre meals, we go back to a couple of old favourites like this one, where we know we will get really... More
