Stunning spot with the most fantastic staff. Dave looked after us from start to finish, with great service and a cheery attitude, alongside the rest of the team topping up both out water and wine! Could not ask for a better experience and will definitely...be returning to this excellent location. Slàinte mhathMore

One of those days that everything on my list had to be done and it was taking a long time to get anything done. So I needed to give myself a boost. Once I got the essentials done, I was well and truly over it...and needed a boost and a chill. Decided on a whim to hit the Swan Valley, (seeing as I missed the Entwined In The Valley this year), and rung around to see if if my choice of 3 venues could fit me in that afternoon. The one that answered, sounded pleased to welcome me AND had room for me won the raffle, so very happy to make my way to Pinelli. The drive was long, but the sight of of the vines and the lovely (if very hot) day made me smile on the way. I can't remember the last time I was there but then today, I am having a hard time trying to remember stuff, so all the more reason to do what I'm doing. Coming into the carpark, spacious and well ordered, gives no idea how lovely the buildings and surroundings are. I had spoken to the warm and welcoming David who seated me in the alfresco area of the wraparound verandah. I was looking out across the verdant green lawn and the vines beyond, while to my other side was the cellar door with another charming outdoor area. It wasw laid out with large wine barrels with plenty of shade for those who ventured in.ordered Camembert and the Beef Fillet with the desserts to be ordered later. As I waited, I noticed one of the staff walking into the back of the cellar door, followed by a kelpie. I also noticed the dog do a lap of the yawn, sniffing and enjoying the grass when he (?) made a beeline for the verandah and proceeding to make all the Now I could sit at a table and enjoy the stiff breeze cutting through the vines and relieving some of the heat. The atmosphere was most enjoyable with the italian decor, attentive service and watching the other patrons enjoying their meals. All were obviously long time friends/close family, no little ones or older children, making conversation which flowed as easily as the wine. The two page menu offered was easy to read, and offered many tasty delights. I relied on Daniel for information about the dishes, which he knew very well. So I guests welcome. I myself, love animals so thought it was a lovely touch to the occasion. He did'nt make it to my table, as he was called back very quickly. Entree of Crumbed Camember arrived and I honestly thought it was a mixup, and they had given me a chicken dish. Very large, crumbed in a golden crusty coating with balsamic in a generous amount. Rich in flavour, with the cheese oozing forth with the walnuts providing crunchy texture. The caramelised apple was silky, not mushy and the mixing of the honey with the balsamic complemented the whole dish. Bellissimo! It was all I could do not to lick the plate! Before I had the main, I thought I would go for a quick inspection of the grounds, (aka, just a little walk around) the trees not so far away from my table and see inside the restaurant proper. My main had arrived and while the cooking was a little uneven, it was tasty, tender and filling. The salad was again generous, with frissee, rocket, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, which was well dressed, clean and fresh. The chips were crisp outside, fluffy inside and the whole dish was yummy. I could have eaten it again. It was getting quite cool now, with the wind blowing stronger so asked for a inside table which Davd happily provided. The table setting was just as lovely as outside. I was close to the bifold doors but away from the inclement (I was not dressed for the weather and it is hard for me to aclimatise when I go away). But there was an upside, if I hadn't been inside, I would have missed staff (JL) singing to a couple celebrating their 48th anniversary. A special moment amongst the more mundane. It was a lovely example of how special the Pinelli Estate and their staff is. Dessert menu was asked for and decision made. (Again, after much deliberation). Crepe Suzette first, then Honey & Cointreau Creme Brulee. It was decorated with a dried orange and mint leaves. It came to the table in a hot plate which hastened the melted the ice cream, so the citrus flavour was diluted but I was'nt deterred and still loved it. The honey Cream Brulee was quickly eaten, having delivered a satisfying crack when the spoon hit the top. Great finish to a superb meal. (Side Note: This is why I regretted missing the Entwined 2023, where Pinelli Estate had offered a 5 course degustation with wines! Roll on 2024!) When paying for the bill, David noted that it lovely to see a solo diner happy in their own company. I should have said with the quality of the food, it was easy to be that way!More

We got there at 1:00 and at 2:40 we decided to leave as they didn't serve the food yet!! So bad service than I do not recommend it to anyone. On top of this, the waiter (or owner, I do not know) was with a...bad face! no even an apology or explanation. If I could put a 0 score, I would do that but I have to write 1 start which is way more than they deserve.More

Food was amazing, sat outside on a lovely sunny day and the atmosphere was great as the kids played on the lawn while we waited for our meal. Food was really nice, probably the best pork belly I have ever had. Our waitress was a...lovely Italian girl (I forget her name, sorry!) who was bubbly, friendly and really made us feel taken care of. Even remembered half our names by the time we were done! Her service added to a great experience and we are all keen to go back!More

Hubby and I were looking forward to trying the reopened restaurant and booked last Saturday night. They were very busy and we waited an hour for our entree of olives to arrive. We finally got the entree when less than 10 minutes later, Before we...had finished, the mains turned up! Spoke to restaurant manager when leaving who said that we had been behind some big groups and was sorry we felt that way (that the service was ordinary) and she would see us next time. So no acknowledgement that we were important or that they had stuffed up! And it was not a cheap night either. I’m sorry but if you are going to be over capacity don’t accept extra bookings!More
