Beautiful food and nice wines, we had the five course chefs choice after a quick wine tasting to help choice our wine. Staff were great and we were allowed a change from a fish dish to meat dish to suit us better. Would definitely dine...there again if we are ever in the Swan Valley.More

I took my partner to Sandalford for a romantic birthday dinner and definitely got that. It was a wet and cold winter’s night and as it was a birthday dinner the staff gave us a lovely table next to the open fire. The staff are...very knowledgeable and helpful without being overbearing, the food was sensational and of course fabulous Sandalford wine to match. I’ve had lunch or dinner on several occasions and they never disappoint.More

We had wine tasting and lunch at Sandalford as part of a river cruise. This winery is a large, professionally run, family- owned business. In spite of its size, attention is paid to detail and quality. First, we went up stairs to see the winery...from walkways and had the process explained to us. Our long table was under a large tree on the lawn, perfect for the autumn day. Each place on the white tablecloth had a flight of six tasting glasses, which were explained prior to our tasting each one. The wine-tasting process was explained before we began any tasting. A two- course meal with a wine from the tasting list followed. The entree of gnocchi with a delicate sauce and micro herbs, nicely cooked and presented, tasted delicious. Our chosen main of barramundi was equally excellent. Before departure, a tasting of fortified wines was held in the winery. This winery has an excellent chef and all the staff who interacted with us were well- trained. No-one said "No worries", "No problems", "Mate" and similar words and phrases which do not belong in an upmarket establishment. The area is large, modern, with several indoor and outdoor spaces of various sizes suitable for weddings and various other gatherings. There is also a restaurant. Sandalford is an old established winery, going back to about 1840. It can be reached by road or river.More

Wow, we have just had the most delightful lunch, 4 very happy people enjoyed the best meal of very high quality that is possible. The seafood was so fresh it melted in your mouth, steaks of quality and perfectly cooked that they also melted in...you mouth, and of course deserts and coffee just finished the afternoon. The wines were fabulous and served perfectly. The staff were so friendly and efficient it was a joy to have their smiles and happy disposition at the table, of course not only to us but everyone in the restaurant. They never stopped. Congratulations on a wonderful experience we had over lunch. Highly recommended. Thank you.More

Food was amazing. Service was great. Couldn't fault it. Originally went for wine tasting, stayed for lunch. Enjoyed it so much we then booked for dinner with a friend for 2 nights later and it was even better the second time round.

Sandalford Restaurant has offered very good hospitality for a long time. Impressive renovations have been carried out to the restaurant and surrounding facilities in recent times making the visit to Sandalford Winery a pleasurable experience in itself. We did not book but were immediately offered...a table, a pre-lunch free wine tasting and had our Covid19 vaccination status confirmed; all done in a most pleasant manner. The tasting was informative and assisted us to select our luncheon wines. After the tasting we were quickly seated, offered water and menus and told of the luncheon specials. At all times the service was courteous and informative. The food was excellent; we chose the Cape Grim beef and the prawn pizza. Both were perfectly cooked; the beef medium rare and the pasta crust light and very tasty and the accompanying salads were well constructed, tasty and fresh. The food was a highlight. The venue was popular as it deserves to be. The facilities, staff and quality of the offering were all very good to excellent and it is easy to recommend to visitors to the Swan Valley.More

In 2018 I headlined a review of lunch at Sandalford: "Consummate professionalism in food and service". Three years on and a major refurbishment later that standard has been maintained, if not bettered. From the Kalamata olive, garlic and herb-baked feta accompaniment to the foccacia for...starters through to the baked meringue, South West honeycomb, calamansi, seasonal berries for sweets with the most tender, flavoursome piece of rump lamb for mains in between, this was a most memorable meal. Service was warm, friendly, and quite quick given the restaurant was almost full. Service for the wine tastings was of the same high standard. As another reviewer has written and our experiences three years apart have shown, Sandalford is a place you could go back to confidently again and again and enjoy every aspect each time.More

Of course babies are welcomed. We sat near a table that a young couple had a little one in a high chair. The child thoroughly enjoyed the attention, and the parents were lovely.
