About
Elmar’s In The Valley is one of the best restaurants in the Swan Valley. It is a family friendly venue that celebrates traditional German and Australian cuisine in the tranquil surrounds of the Swan Valley in Western Australia. It is the largest German restaurant in Perth and the Swan Valley’s biggest beer garden with over two acres of lush green lawn and shady gum trees. Elmar’s in the Valley opened in 2005 after the success of two smallgoods stores in Highgate and Myaree. Unlike other German restaurants, Elmar’s in the Valley is not a German themed restaurant, it is German!

Beautiful drive down to the Swan Valley. Lots of parking available. Entrance to restaurant was not at clear if you parked by the disabled access parking. Large venue and the team were all friendly and helpful. You will have to go up to the counter...to order your food and beverage. Small selection on menu and Portions are large! Pulled pork banquette is good as well as the pork schnitzel. The cheesy garlic bread is yummy. The pork shanks was a touch too big for my elderly mum and not as tender as what she can handle but she thought it was still good. There were also jams, condiments etc available from ‘The Odd Couple’ and from the tasting, it was delicious. Bought a few jars and to pay at counter too.More

Went to their family Oktoberfest & found it to be expensive & boring! $31 per adult & got one free drink. Small Prosecco in a plastic cup cost $10. No German pancakes but a choice of fatty sausages. Music was good. Best dressed competition the...MC was exceedingly rude & ageist. He remarked if I was entering in the 90 year old category! Selected 2 boys in Minimal costume & a couple where the woman was young, slim & attractive. His comment really spoilt my day. I had gone to the trouble to buy an authentic costume to be publically humiliated by that pig of a man!!! I think if you are a family you would enjoy the day as they did have a few fun comps.More

We were driving past Elmar's in the Swan Valley, and my wife remarked it's been along time since we were here last. We called in for lunch and found the facility had under gone major changes since our last visit. The food was very good...and wholesome. The decor stunning, and the staff very friendly and helpful. We would recommend that you visit Elmar's in the Valley at the earliest opportunity. Les and Gwyne Marshall.More

Wow what a beautiful location for this unique German inspired restaurant. When searching for somewhere to eat in the Swan Valley it was a little tricky as we needed a place that offered a variety of foods such as vegan options. As common as this...is these days a lot of restaurants didn’t offer this however Elmars in the valley did. The food was delicious couldn’t of asked for anything better. The service was great and we really liked that the location hosts a variety of events such as having a market on when we were there. Would defiantly recommend and can guarantee that we will return.More

Wow! This is a great place to stop and have lunch. Certainly happy that we booked but one of the staff members just stood there and was like "oh someone has taking your table" then left. At first I was a bit miffed but then...another lady was really helpful and apologetic. The food was good as was the selections of beers. Great day with the family. The markets were also on which was a nice added bonus.More

We had driven past a couple of times, parking areas full, but we persevered and eventually found a space. No booking but somehow a table was made available. Great menu selection plus blackboard offerings. I selected the port schnitzel, my wife the vegetable soup as...her original blackboard selection was unavailable. Order and pay for the meals, then head to the bar for your drinks and another payment. Both our meals were ample and tasty. Friendly service from all staff that we interacted with.More

Had dinner here, and I can honestly say the service we received both from the waiters and the bar staff was some of the best I have experienced. Everybody was so friendly and helpful, cannot thank them enough. Food was yummy we had the pork...schnitzel, German pasta and the grilled cobbler, with all meals thoroughly enjoyed.More
