Simple and courteous welcome. The plates are garnished, fine and very well cooked. Finally a restaurant that doesn't just confine itself to filling a plate but to cooking deliciously and finely!
Everything was good from aperitif to dessert. Nothing to complain about really.
The setting is simply calming and perfectly suitable.
We will definitely come back....

A very good establishment with a wonderful view. We have dined there 3 times in almost 1 year and each time they have never disappointed. Their full plates are excellent and the ice creams are a real treat. I really recommend this restaurant.

I don't understand why locals have correctly rated this place which I don't describe as a restaurant. I think they have dedicated local friends because given the neighborhood, there are quite a few decent restaurants in the area, cheaper and above all better!!
the opinions of people passing by... If you like sous vide and expensive frozen foods, it's not so bad. But it's a tourist trap by definition
the dishes are authentic vacuum-packed "cooked" dishes from large chains, homemade doesn't even exist in concept, even fries these days are "fresh" in snacks, here it's frozen and not well cooked !

We chose this restaurant due to its wonderful location and the breathtaking views provided from its outdoor terrace.
It was mid week when we visited and we were a family of 9 with two of the party being very young children.
From the moment of our arrival nothing was too much trouble. The waiter and waitress were both charming, helpful and a real delight to engage with. They really help to make the evening the success it was.
The food and beverage choice was really good. The menu is reasonably priced and when the food arrived, it was well presented and very tasty.
The real bonus with this meal was the location and being able to watch the sunset from our seats. It was amazing.
I would have no hesitation recommending this restaurant. There is free car parking very close-by and before or after dinner you can explore the beautiful houses and ramparts of Château de Castelnau.

We were very well received ! They agreed to pick us up 10 minutes before closing. We ate very well there. We had two very generous Quercynoise pizzas. The products are local and the pizza dough is homemade. We recommend this restaurant without problem!

Very nice terrace and excellent dishes. Their duck breast is to fall, the salad of the ramparts is succulent!!! And the clafoutis with Queen Claudius is divine! A superb place to eat regional dishes. Remember to book!

Fabulous friendly staff and good choices on menu. We walked here from the village of Prudhomat, great views and a terrace when it is not raining. We had the mixed plate, sorry cant remember the French word. Including goats cheese, onion sauce, steak, salad and frites. It was delicious. The restaurant is also dog friendly.

After the visit to the castle of CastelNau-Bretenoux, by the way, a good choice to visit a medieval castle, where King Richard, the Lionheart, resided for a time. We chose this restaurant with good views and a huge terrace.

Exceptional view of Castelnau Castle (obviously, the ramparts!), And the Dordogne valley on the other side. Very pleasant service with a little word of humor at each table. Beautiful shaded terrace... We went there twice during the week, not disappointed with the menus and prices. We recommend!

Excellent welcome and service, very friendly and responsive. Magnificent view of the valley and very practical for families, the on-site playground. Regarding the children, it's still a pleasant surprise to see vegetables on the menu, when you're on vacation it's nice, it's a change from fries! Restaurant with a terrace with magnificent views! The regional dishes are delicious, the plates are generous. The atmosphere is friendly, many regulars. My husband and I have gone to this restaurant for years, at least 3 times a year. The food is always good and consistent, the menu has a wide selection, and the service is friendly and efficient. The view from the terrace is stunning. I highly recommend this restaurant!
