I was invited on this place by my officemates and I didn't hesitate because I'm a seafood foodie. The place reminds me of Dampa concept at home. The big difference though was the fish in Dampa are alive and here they are displayed on a huge freezer and are immobile, lol! However, similarly you can choose how you want your fish cooked. The service was fast and the servings were sumptuous. We paid 700K and there were 5 of us so it was priced well. Good place to come back for big gatherings and on a limited budget.

Finally I found the best seafood restaurant in yogyakarta. I got reference from local culinary magazine and I try to find out the location of the restaurant. The location near from jl Magelang and easy access to find it. fresh fish display in show case chiller. From snapper, squid, king prawn, garoupa, and papua crabs. I recommend you to try snapper woku and ikan bakar polos, it's very tasty and delicious. Overall everything is good. Highly recommended

Many Sea Fish can be found here, from Crab, Shrimp, Squid, Red Snapper and other fish that i cant tell one by one. The dish is delicious for a seafood lover like me ; you can order grilled, deep fried or cook woku for any sea food. The price is not that expensive, but beware if you come in late night ... you will be waiting for so long ; i suggest came at around 6 PM or booking order first.

Sulawesi seafood cuisine, a rare choice in Jogjakarta. Good choices are: udang bakar madu (honey barbeque shrimp), kakap woku (red snapper cooked in woku style), cumi goreng tepung (fried breaded squid), cah kangkung terasi (fried morning glory with balacan), ca tauge (fried sprout). Seafood can be fresher but perhaps it is difficult to get in Jogja. For Jakartan, it is considered as above average. The location is a bit quiet so it might be an issue to get a cab. Uber/grab can be an alternative.

My kiddos like very much their "kakap putih" (frying or grilled, both was delicious). I think the most delicious fish in Katombo is "kakap putih". I once got the bitter "kakap putih", when i complained to their owner the give me replace. If you like chili you can try Cakalang fish. They also provide shrimp, clue fish, etc. It's just that I do not like the smoke that sometimes still feels from the smoking area. But for the food is oke.

Went here to have lunch with my family. The place is nice & have a modern outlook. The grilled fish is superb, so are the many vegetable dishes. The corn fritter is also very nice. But the snacks, i.e. panada, lalampa & klappertaart are so so. The red bean ice is nice, but it is served with too many ice rocks. But overall, we have a good lunch. Would consider coming here again for the main dishes.

Near Jl. Magelang at about 1km south of the Northern RIng Road on the way to town on the right hand side, this place is not so easy to got to without using GPS. Well worthwhile as it is roomy and with modern decor. The modern fridge displaying different types of fish is on your right as you come in. You choose and pay according to weight. No need to finger the fish and check the gills to determine freshness. They take ethical practices seriously here! Manadonese/Minahasan cuisine is one of the dining highlights in Indonesian food culture. Important is the freshness of ingredients and the diner's resistance to strong chili present in most sauces. I had the prawns, my wife the Tengiri fish. Both agreed that it was among the best that we had in Java. Along with corn fritters and kangkung (water spinach) this made for a memorable lunch. We took Bubur Manado (Spianch and oatmeal soup with potatoes) - a hearty Manado comfort food speciality back with us. Drinks are juices, teas and Bintang Beer (cans and bottle available at 25K/30K). This place is busy at mealtimes and is on the Go Food list. Many items which are popular are quickly sold out so prepared for 2nd and even 3rd choices. Delicious Klapertaart (coconut cake) - the freshest in Yogya. And I have had a few.
