This place has an underground feel, with unfinished walls, and rocky ceiling, but nonetheless is a very nice place. The buffet has great options for a full sample of Portuguese cuisine, for the timid and adventurous. The appetizer tray had so many things I wanted to try, but when the mains came out I was glad I hadn't stuffed myself.... More

Ok. Like everyone say, once you enter you will not see where you are. But, to be honest, the food may be good, but IMHO overrated for what you pay. We went we 5 and had to pay the equivalent of 2 evening dinner in other restaurants, giving me the feeling of being a real tourist ;-(

You just can't beat Tromba Rija on the "All You Can Eat" league. Great traditional Portuguese cuisine. Always fresh and well tended. Nice staff, friendly and familiar. The decoration is genuinely traditional. This place is like a landmark in Portugal. Go for it.

Good family restaurant. Lots of starters (more that 100). Good place and very rustic with traditional tools in the walls and good food.

Had a bad experience after a meal on a Sat night. Very quiet only 2 other tables occupied. Buffet was kept warm and I just wonder for how long. Used to love this place but will not go again

The room is cosy and with a beautiful decor. The starters are very, very good. You can choose from several cheeses to ham, vegetables and hot starters. Then you can choose from four dishes. Two of meat and two of fish. At this point I chose only the steak because I was full. It was tender. Then the waiter brings... More

Great food, decor and service. I would just eat from the buffet as the mains are great but the buffet is even better.

This is a restaurant I don't mind to go again and again. Not very near from Lisbon, though..That is the only inconvenient! :-) It is an all inclusive restaurant (apart from the beverages). The starters are amazing with a large variety to choose from. During the weekends is a buffet and in the week days they will bring the starters to... More
