About
The House of Honey proudly specialises in pure, unpasteurised and unadulterated varietal honeys. We harvest honey only when our bees have capped the cells allowing the honey to fully ripen and mature into an exceptional taste. The House of Honey has many apiary sites within West Australia’s pristine forests. These are leased from the Department of Parks and Wildlife. We travel far and wide to harvest and showcase some of the best honey this state has to offer. The beehives are moved at night to ensure all the bees have returned from the field. They are moved to different locations depending upon availability of nectar -mostly pristine native bush land populated by our many different Eucalyptus species. Each of these floral species have their own unique flavour - all of which are available for tasting. Some of these honeys lend themselves to further infusions - such as Lavender, Chilli, Cinnamon, Vanilla and Truffle - which further tempt the taste buds.

Twenty friends descended upon The House of Honey for morning tea at 10 am on Thursday 22nd October. The very friendly staff had a long table prepared for us. The scones, jam, and cream, were delicious. Despite the fact that a large group of bike riders arrived at the same time as ourselves, we were served promptly with a friendly smile. In addition they have a large range of gifts from which to choose,, and of course many varieties of honey products.

Visited as part of a large group- they were anticipating our arrival & were well prepared. Part of our group did honey tasting, the other part of our group did Mead tasting & swapped over. Very warm & knowledgeable staff, most of us bought something within the shop & all thought it was a worthwhile visit. Highly recommend popping in for a visit when in the Swan Valley. Thank you- a really well run establishment.

As part of a senior's deal we stopped here for a Devonshire tea. They were very busy but the scones and coffee arrived promptly, served by a friendly girl. Lovely warm scones with plenty of jamand cream. Delicious!

They advertise 10% senior discount on Mondays unfortunately this does NOT include everything. It clearly states on the sandwich board as you walk in that there is 10% off when it should on "selected items". Apart from that its a pleasant place to go to

Hello, On the board it says there is a discounted seniors menu and 10% off honey of the month. This honey is promoted in the shop and tasting station. Sorry if you did not notice this we will look to see if we can make it more obvious. Regards, Kim

Really enjoyed our unscheduled stop to see what was on offer. We didn't have anything to eat or drink at the cafe but did sample their alcoholic beverages. Can honestly say I was really impressed and we bought a few bottles to take home. The shop was an education in itself, I had no idea there were so many things you could put honey into. As a bonus if you spend over $100 they give you a free jar of honey, brilliant. They had a wonderful range of gifts and we'll be back later in the year to stock up with Christmas presents

We have been going to the House of Honey since it first opened. It has gone from strength to strength since opening. The staff are warm, friendly and welcoming. The layout is good. It is great to be able to try mead in the Meadery. The food is fresh and yummy and the honey ice cream is yummo! We return on a regular basis. Would definitely recommend.

This place is very nicely set out with descriptions of all products with easy sampling. The flavours of most honey are as expected & of a good quality, but I found a few that were not to my liking, the Lavender one quite unpalatable. Others may find it quite nice as everyone has different tastes.

The great Northern Hwy has some great places to visit. It is worth hiring a car to check out our different honey's. There is lots more to offer as well and their honey lollipops not only the kids love them. Then head up the road to taste cheese from all over. Great place to stop for lunch. Then you have Nougat and Morish Nuts. Then to finish off on your way back stop to get chocolate at Whistlers. Make sure you buy some caramel choc popcorn...the best!
