The nice beer on tap made this a pretty decent place. It's still basically a railway pub, which means that it really isn't all that fancy. I wouldn't get off the train here for a beer though, since the trains don't go past all that...often, even if they stop.More

Worst experience! Called at 11.20am and spoke to a guy to book a table outdoors at 5.30pm. Confirmed the day and time, took my name and phone number. Arrived at 5.15pm only to be told they are closing and that it wasn’t possible to have...made a booking. Did a phone redial from my call history and the phone rang at the bar. Guy guy at the bar was rude. Greeted me by saying ‘last drink for the day’! Was a regular here but no longer. Plenty of pubs around the area who value their customers, especially these days.More

What a great pub, fairly local to us but never considered going earlier. There is something for everyone with extensive menu suiting all tastes and budgets. It was a birthday celebration for us. We had the Greek Platter and Seafood Plate for one. Other were...outstanding quality, fresh, tasty and well presented. At $40 plus a plate it was certainly at the upper end of the scale for a pub meal but worth it. Other food coming out looked great. Plenty of staff who were polite and attentive. Only complaint was the heating didn't kick in until half way through the meal, however our booking was an early lunch. We'll defiantly be back and could recommend this pub highly enough. Can't wait to try the Beer Garden when the weather warms up a little.More

when we visited it was a week day , there was no need to book as it wasn't very busy , the service was excellent , very friendly staff

Tried a local pub near us, staff were fantastic very friendly. Bar staff very good waitresses niice. Look food was ok little disappointed with the caesar salad prawns added but were not grilled. Duck spring rolls were nice. Calamari was ok along with the battered...flathead tails. Would have given 2 star but the service was great.More

On all our visits over the past 14 years - we have found this Local Hotel to have good atmosphere with friendly staff. The food & service is great. They also on occasions have special day/night functions with great sounding bands. Wide ride of selection...on menus. In winter there is always a welcoming open fire to keep you cosy too. This places caters for all singles / casual / family & friends. Good play area for kids.More

As a local for many years this menu rarely changes salads were warm and old .things a wrong when you can't cook a Parma right will not be back

The food here is expensive for a pub however is very good. The staff are excellent. The kids playroom & lazy parents destroy what would otherwise be a great place to eat. We've eaten here twice now but never again. It is both painful to...listen to kids scream at the top of their voice and spend money for the privilege... Never again.More

Being Mothers’ day this place was packed and we were lucky to get a table here for Sunday lunch. Excellent food - all of our party ordered the pork belly roast and it was delicious. Nice atmosphere and good service. I would like to come...back when it a little less crowded but it’s still 5 stars from me.More

What a yummy place to eat and quick service. I recommend any one going to this country pub. We shared a large seafood for 2 and struggled to get through it as there was so much on the plate.

Tuesday night, dining room booked out. Great service, great food, Parma night, but plenty of other options. Steaks were awesome. Kids meals great. There’s a kids play area. Highly recommend, we’ll be returning.

Have been staying in Riddells Creek and have been lucky enough to go to this absolutely great Hotel on 3 occasions 1st was for my husbands 60th and the other timed to meet friends we hadn’t seen for a very very long time. The staff...firstly are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble and they made everyone feel welcome with politeness and obviously take pride in their service. The food was beautiful and well presented and cooked to perfection on every dish that we tried, popular amongst guests was the Greek Platter which was scrumptious. Flathead fishtails was really nice too. For my husbands birthday I was offered for a small fee a birthday cake cooked on-site and brought out with candles. It included the serving and a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. You can bring your own cake for a small per head serving charge which is perfectly reasonable but not required as their cake was scrumptious and we took some home to consume later. I truly recommend a visit to the Riddells Creek Hotel even if you are staying in other places in the Macedon Ranges the menu is extensive and not a bad or mediocre dish was served. ( we are ex residents of the MR) Do book a table even on a Tuesday it was very busy. Thank you Riddells Creek Hotel see you again on our next visit from Hervey Bay Qld Ps we stayed each time until the hotel closed.More
