We took friends out for dinner to the Markiezen as it is a great place.... Well, it was a great place... While the service was still great, the food was more than average. The new chef was cooking like a robot, no smile, no visible passion and indeed we got it in our plate. Same dishes as before but the... More

We had the best time. For Dutch standards very nice staff, a good and chill vibe and surprisingly good food. We choose the 'chef surprise' menu and it was delicious. Nice meat, good veggies, good sauce and a good location. If you have the choice then definitely go here for a nice dinner.

This was a favorite where we often took our visiting guests and were frequent guests ourselves. Great chef, great staff, and great food. We returned a few weeks back, and the same great staff are there, but we discovered the chef has changed, and the food was very poor. Frankly very poor. An unfortunate situation, and I don't expect it... More

Spent a quiet evening with my wife, enjoying 5 course dinner and drinks. Go for the surprise menu, let the chef spoil you :)

We had the three-course menu surprise and were pleased. The food was well prepared and subtly flavoured, and the wines by the glass were very reasonably priced. I passed up dessert and had a glass of framboise instead. This was the only false note: the eau-de-vie was served at room temperature in a brandy snifter. Stll, dinner for four, with... More

We visited after reading reviews on this site. We were not disappointed, food was incredible! We chose the 4 course surprise menu ( all savoury) cost was €35 each. Each course was the size of a large starter and totally delicious. They do ask if there is anything you really don't like or can't eat. We had a smoked salmon... More

The food was quite nice and the atmosphere was ok but I found it very overpriced for what we had. We spent over 100 euros for a simple meal for 2 and didn't even have any alcohol, only soft drinks.

A marvelous experience. Wonderful food, prepared and presented well in a great environment. Great selection of wines - and the helicopter starter with bread has to be a must! A joy of an experience.
