We visited Monteriggioni on a weekday at lunch time. There were limited restaurants open for lunch. We chose Ristorante da Remo based on its varied menu. The setting was beautiful. Food good, nothing outstanding, and a bit pricy

We stopped here for lunch but the first course that I ordered seemed to be finished after like 20 min after I ordered! I would have preferred to discover it when the order got into the kitchen. And same for the wine, we received the glasses of wine after we had the appetizer.. in the end food was just ok,... More

I had not been to this little town for several years tho I go home to Italy every year. We ate at this place 6 years ago. Now it's changed its name. We sat in a sort of conservatory near the garden. It was a beautiful day. The service was a bit slow and I see from several reviews that... More

I am stunned by the bad reviews of this lovely restaurant. Sadly if I had internet it would have deterred me from visiting. I can usually sniff out a tourist trap (as it has been described) and in my opinion it is anything but. Let's get some things straight. Good food takes time. I prefer to wait a while in... More

Great selection of cheeses, lovely authentic pasta dishes and wonderful Chianti wine! Some staff very friendly but certainly not everyone! Check your bill, ours wasn't correct.

We were a family of four staying in Monteriggioni for four nights, touring the sights of Tuscany by car by day, and returning to this beautiful hilltop, walled village at night was a delight (a destination in itself) and dined here twice as the food and staff were really good. Loved it, and handy to know that there are good... More

This was the disappointment during our Italy visit this year. We visited at the end of the day to have a look at the village followed by a meal. The village itself was a bit of a disappointment and we should have left to find some real Italian place for a good meal. The restaurant looks ok from the outside... More

When you walk into a restaurant for a Sunday lunch you expect to part with some money, the first sign was the house wine same bottle I got outside in a shop for 8 euro cost 14.95. But like I said when you come in for a sit down lunch you order and enjoy,it's not a fast food pizza parlor. We... More

When you enter the gates of this pretty town you will be offered a car park fee reduction to eat at this restaurant. By the time we got back to the car - worrying about the cost of it was the very last thing on our minds. To be frank, we just wanted to get the hell out and as... More

Don't eat here (during the tourist season at least). The staff cannot cope with a full capacity restaurant and rather than admitting this, they show you to a table, take your order and then .....forget about you - until your party gets restless; at this point they bring a couple of token dishes, advising you of the excellent quality of...
