This is a small restaurant with a friendly owner. Visited on a Tuesday night so not very busy at 9pm. Large portions however, not particularly cheap. Food was reasonable. A welcome relief if you need a change from tapas.

The title of this review says it all. The fixed price Menu Extremeno gives you two courses plus dessert, which is reasonable (I ordered an egg dish and lamb stew, both of which were pretty good. But my wife ordered a salad and lamb with plums, both again pretty good, and in total it was 33 Euros. But both were... More

Enjoyed a birthday dinner in a more formal space at the rear of this restaurant. I would recommend the bread-crumbed anchovies and the "cotto" beef steak was superb! M enjoyed her asparagus in cheese sauce and recommends the lamb casserole. Service was very friendly and efficient. We went back the following evening and enjoyed quality tapas. Both meals, though very... More

Great restaurant just off the Plaza de Espana. Menu is quite extensive and if you order a la carte, it is also quite expensive, but definitely worth it. The "menu del dia" at 12 euros is a great baragain. We arrived at 2:30 for lunch and it started to fill up afterwards.. Also helps if you speak some Spanish, Most... More

The dining hour in Merida seems to be ridiculously late, even for Spain. We arrived at Casa Nano at 2130 and were the only party in the restaurant until 2215 when a number of other parties began arriving. We started with a large salad and a soup recommend by our server. Both were excellent. The lamb with prunes is a... More

Proprietor was brusque and impatient despite few patrons. My wife's second order was switched to the same as mine, probably in order to facilitate cooking. Bill contained charge for bread which was not requested, not eaten and left untouched. When I asked that it be taken off the bill, the proprietor angrily stated that he couldn't keep track of what... We spent two nights in Merida and on the first night suffered a dreadful meal at the Parador Hotel where we were staying. In order to avoid a repeat performance we scoured the streets of Merida looking for somewhere quiet and slightly off the beaten track. We came across Casa Nano in a quiet street with no access for traffic.... More

For once I made the choice which every one else envied. Chose from the recommendation of the waiter. Melted in the mouth and with brilliant chips. Three of us had the partridge salad and one scrambled eggs with prawns and mushrooms. Nice comfortable restaurant.
