Loved the food and service in a quality setting. We had just arrived in Merida on a Sunday afternoon and wasn't expecting much for our meal. I am telling you this was the best tapas we've had since Barcelona.
We had a salad which had a tantalising dressing served with a warm roll wrapped in a napkin. How thoughtful. The prawn tempura was served in shot glasses with an avocado sauce. Best of all was a tuna tartare. Delicate and delightful. And to complete the experience we had such personal and attentive service with a light touch.
Who knew we could have found Serendipity on a Sunday. It absolutely made our day.

Delicious tapas at restaurant by national Museum of Roman Art in Merida. Lovely sharing plate of Iberian ham followed by honey-drizzled aubergines, artichokes, tempura prawns with guacamole (a surprisingly good taste combo) and tuna tartare, all accompanied by some nice white and red wine by the glass. The meal was rounded off by two stunning desserts — a Bailey’s torrija (a French toast/bread and butter pudding blend, absolutely yummy) and a three-textured chocolate pot that seemed to please the husband. Would definitely recommend and go back. We sat outside and were soon joined by tables of other happy eaters, mostly Spaniards. Staff were friendly and coped with our pretty lamentable efforts at Spanish. Total came to just over €80, which we thought was good value for what we’d had.

We were looking for a place where we could have something typical for dinner in the area that wasn't very expensive and we were very lucky to find this place.
They have a menu for €15 even for Saturdays and Sundays with a small supplement, I think it's €1.50, although we ate a la carte and everything was delicious and not at all expensive. The place was full and even so, they served us very well. Belén, one of the waitresses was very friendly and approachable and that added to how spectacular the dinner was is enough to give them a 10.

My mother was here on another occasion and she liked it so much that now that we have returned to Mérida as a family she encouraged us to come. A complete success!!! Eating tapas at a good price and in generous quantities is a luxury that is still enjoyed in few places, in addition to a very varied daily menu with a great quality-price ratio. All the delicious food (the chef's salad and the next-level crumbs), and the impeccable treatment of all the waiters, they are a love. 47 euros between 3 to fill your throat with food, wonderful. We will return without a doubt!

This place is great for a romantic meal, as well as for an informal dinner with colleagues.
Quality price, quite affordable for all budgets
The entire staff, from the person who answers the phone to make the reservation, to those who assist you at the premises, treat you wonderfully.
Being from Mérida, I have been several times and when friends from outside come, I usually take them to eat well and cheaply.

We went with a large group of friends to celebrate a birthday and it wasn't bad, although it could be improved. Small place, if large groups go, it is better to reserve.
They have a wide and varied menu, differentiated between portions and individual tapas (since we were a large group, they recommended that we order portions from the center rather than individual tapas so as not to slow down the service so much and not start eating some before others) and we ended up ordering both portions. I eat tapas and it wasn't bad at all, it wasn't as slow as we expected, I guess since it wasn't high season and the terrace wasn't full there wasn't much of a problem in that regard. The food is good, the individual tapas are large and well priced. The food is not bad, although it is not anything out of this world either. We ordered both ham and oxtail croquettes. The ham ones were good, you could tell that they were homemade with a honeyed béchamel, but there it stayed, in béchamel without a ham flavor and without having the necessary amount of ham (the little ham they had was not Iberian or ham, far from it). , and the oxtail ones were not bad but they were purchased, nothing to do with the sweetness of the ham ones, I would even dare to say that they are Las Croquetas de Fer (or otherwise, similar).
As a tapa, I tried the octopus, quite acceptable, and the churrasco, for my taste too drizzled with sauce, but good. My partner tried the cheek pads and they were pretty good.
The attention is quite good from the kids who run the room, very attentive and pleasant.

We were passing through Mérida and accidentally hit the key.
Very well located, clean, organized site.
The food was wonderful both in taste and aesthetically. Careful down to the last detail.
The venison loin and the waffle with cheek are highly recommended.
AND THE MAIN THING is to highlight the service of the waiters, a pleasure to find people with such kindness and sympathy, unbeatable treatment even with the two dogs we had, super attentive at all times.
Without a doubt a place to repeat as soon as we can!!

Very central restaurant, very varied daily menu with many options (includes almost the entire menu). Vicente treated us as if we were at home, he made our food very pleasant and took great care of us. It's nice to meet people like that. Despite having ordered drinks off the menu, we ended up with a more than reasonable €21 per person.

Unbeatable restaurant!!! Both the food, desserts, attention of the waiters, quality-price and the place are incredible! We went with the idea of snacking and ended up ordering many more dishes because everything was so delicious. In addition to the good experience with the food, the waiters were very attentive and friendly, which made the dinner perfect!
If we return to Mérida we are clear that we will return there 100%.

This was the best restaurant we’ve visited in Spain. We are Portuguese and usually travel to Spain, and this was the best yet, great food, price was not expensive and fits the area. I mean.. we even had to had a third plate!

Very close and pleasant treatment from the waiters. Great dishes at a very good price (menu 17.40 weekend): black rice, potato and egg blood sausage, cachopo and sirloin with casar cake. Everything is spectacular (the cachopo is good but something more normal, I would try something else)

We were passing through and without searching we found this wonder. As a starter, the goat roll salad was a success, to prepare the stomach for what was coming. First, a spectacular potato waffle with cheek (individual portion), second, deer loin filets, amazing how tender and tasty it was, and finally to finish an Iberian fan, a success, it melts in the mouth.
Above all, highlight the attention of the staff, close, friendly, professional and if you bring animals, very attentive.
Site to repeat, totally recommended.

Spectacular, it has been a long time since I have eaten such a good daily menu..., flavor, presentation, quality. I ordered the vegetable millefeuille with goat roll and as a main course the cod in tempera with cauliflower cream and muhammara sauce and both were exquisite. Very good treatment from the waiters, the speed in serving the dishes and as a culmination they invited us to the shots. Without a doubt I recommend it and if we return to Merida we will definitely repeat.

We went sightseeing in Merida, being a Celiac we chose the restaurant because we had a wide variety of dishes that do not contain flours. We were attended by a super friendly and charming man who at all times cared to know that they contained the menu items to avoid risks. The food is very good and very good price. Very close to the tourist area

My partner and I went to dinner for the first time since we didn't know the place and we were delighted. We had dinner on the very comfortable terrace since with the stoves we were able to take advantage of the night, there was quite a variety of products, very good prices and very good quality, and the service was great. We feel welcomed, very cared for and allowing ourselves to be advised by the experts who work here with their recommendations, very accurate!!
