Lovely pub with lovely grub, owners are welcoming and friendly - food is excellent, price is reasonable - different deals through the week. Have eaten a few times here and really recommend it.

Had a great day on the Bluebell Railway, followed by an excellent evening meal at this fine pub.The lemon sole on a bed of vegetables was simply delicious. All this and Flying Scotsman on the Bluebell Railway - simply divine!

We went here for dinner on Saturday night and had a lovely meal. This is a great, old fashioned pub - we were spoilt for choice with the menu, the food was good, the service very friendly (but not fake and trying too hard, like in some places nowadays), and all in a very convivial atmosphere. The beer choice kept... More

Yep, it's a good pub. Been in many times winter/summer as we fish locally. Great beers, great food, lovely staff. From the crackling fire in the cold months to sitting outside on lovely summer eves it's always good to visit the Green Man.

Great little pub with no frills. Just like a pub should be imo. Gastro it is not. Great beer, friendly staff and excellent food.

Came for lunch last week with my Diabetic father, we were greeted by the friendly bar staff who made us feel very welcome. We asked for her recommendations on the food and she asked the Chef to come out and speak to us, he explained what was on the menu and made it all sound very appealing. I went with... More

A friend and I ate at the Green Man a couple of days ago. We were greeted warmly and my friends dog was no issue for them either. We both had the pie and we sampled the two on offer, the steak and mushroom and the chicken and bacon. Both were really well cooked, homemade and tasted great, served with... More

Visited this little pub when staying in horsted Keynes with my boyfriend. It's always a bit worrying to walk into a pub in such a quiet town as it can sometimes be a little uncomfortable and a situation where you walk in and everyone stares at you like an alien. We could not have felt more welcome! The staff were... More

We had an evening meal there.....It is an ordinary pub with a massive fire place. I had liver and bacon which was nice enough and a good sized portion. My wife had fishcakes. She has more sensitive taste buds than mine and she was sure the 2nd fishcake tasted different to the first. We queried this with the owner. She... More

I went with a group of 20. We were asked to pre-order as we were a large group. Even though the pub was busy both our starters and main courses were ready on time. All the meals were lovely and we couldn't have had better service in a pub with a great atmosphere.
