We went there as a foursome and the staff were very welcoming and eager to please. The menu was varied and satisfied all tastes. The food was excellent and the recommended beer was perfect. We would love to go here again.

Excellent service. Friendly and efficient. We had a simple lunch in the garden eating starters off the main menu rather than a sandwich. The Ciabbatta rolls were also good. Would recommend.

We ate traditional pub grub - but it was particularly nice. Loved the newly refurbished bar and restaurant.

This is a lovely quaint pub with cricket memorabilia. Menu not large but highly recommended. Recommended.

We visited with friends. Stayed over night in clean modern rooms that were well dressed with plenty of space. The lunch baguette was pricey but very good and a filling serving. Evening meal was also a little on the pricey side, starters were a little...More

The Bat and Ball also has a central bar, which means that it is one of those common hybrids, a pub-restaurant. The service is friendly and swift, and the atmosphere lively though not intrusive. This review is written solely to applaud it's fish 'n' chips,...More

Stayed overnight on a visit to the mini car factory. Paid extra for a so called larger room. The room was small and the en suite cramped. I could not stand up straight in most of it due to roof beams. Had to climb a...More

This was the second time we've chosen to eat here and stay overnight. The first time we had to get up early the next morning for a cooking appointment at Le Manoir (it's only three miles away) and this time we were having a weekend...More
