Very pleasant lunch on the porch. 3.5 stars. We both had salads. My husband enjoyed his caesar salad with salmon. Beet salad was good but shrimp just ok. The wait staff was good.

Fantastic menu, great prices, awesome view. Walked straight off the beach across the street for alfresco lunch.

The Beachhead offers dining inside out outside on their patio and deck. The patio and deck is probably the best place to eat. It is right across from the beach and it offers some great views of the ocean and beach. It restaurant does get busy, but the outside seating does not feel cramped when it is busy. The menu... More

We have had main meals before, but this trip, earlier this week, we had drinks and hors d'oeuvres only. Oyster time, 3 to 4 pm weekdays, is awesome, local oysters $1 each. We also had hot pretzels and white wine, Gruner Veltlliner, that we enjoyed.

This food is expensive and flavorless! I ordered the little neck clams, 7 of the in a bowl of yellow broth that was flavorless, about 6 pieces of also flavorless chorizo and some corn. The clams were not littlenecks, more like middle necks. My husband had the clam cakes, he said they were actually ok. My son had the mussels, that... More

Great place to eat. Perfect location, just on your way back to town from biking out to the North end light house. During the summer, Monday - Thursdays 3-4pm is buck a shuck - $1 oysters! Great verandah for eating on too. Don't miss going inside to check

Huge deck overlooking the ocean with additional seating on street level. Staff was very pleasant and the food was excellent. I have enjoyed this restaurant for years and will continue to return.

For our last night of vacation in Block Island, we couldn't have had a better overall dining experience at the Beachead. Our server, Kaitlin, was attentive and engaging, and she even suggested the Striped Bass on the specials menu, which my husband ordered and said was the best fish he has had in years. Kaitlin was happy to accommodate to... More

Six of us had dinner. Salads, fried clams excellent. Striped bass, freshly caught, was perfect, in a superb sauce. Linguine & shrimp, and warm lobster rolls also very good. Big selection of draft beers. Limited selection of wines, as with most places on the Island, but the gruner veltliner for $30 was fine with our food. Waitress was terrific -... More
