We had not ordered, and the restaurant was full, but we could wait in the bar. 15 minutes later they had an available table. We ordered fish soup and smoked whale as starter, and both were very very good. The smoked whale is in the categori that I will never forget I had. As main course we ordered mussels and... More

We stopped here for lunch on our first day in Alta. We got the recommendation for our guide book so we were unsure what to expect. It was a perfect introduction to local food as the small plates allowed us to sample lots of treats. The servers was great in making reccomendations (we had never had whale before!) and the... More

Nice restaurant. All Du Verden restaurant found in Finmark are elegant and good quality, fit for couples and colleagues dinner. Foos is good and price little more higher than the average. I took king crab and was excellent. Reccomanded.

Was here two days in a row. Ordered tapas the first day, and it was delicious! Everything was really tasty, with a lot of variations. Had stockfish the second day, and it was good but not so good as the tapas. The mustard sauce which accompanied the stockfish were great! The staff was friendly and effective. Although they had much... More

In a group of four, only one of us had deer. The rest of us had a variety of tapas which also included deer. And it was just amazing for all of us. Tender and juicy like nothing like we've tasted before. The combination with the other flavors were spot on - salt and sweet. Atmosphere, staff service and food... More

We stop by this restaurant for quick dinner. Food was okay and atmosphere average. Poor service and high price. Just an average place in small alta. For sure not the best restaurant in town.

It's a must for staying in Alta, by far the best restaurant in town. Great food and staff, catered for vegetarians, if not on the menu ask, got a great veg burger, husband had the reindeer fillet the best he has had in Norway, great wines as well.

Very happy with the food. Busy night so took a bit time to get the ordered food. The waiter was polite and did a good job, but she seemed to lack a bit of experience and training. The menu could use a better selection of beer and wine.

This is a very popular place to eat in Alta and a table should be booked in advance (there are not may restaurants to choose from in Alta). This atmosphere was nice and the food good, but tapas was a little to "ordinary". It was a Norwegian version of tapas in my opinion. As with all tapas in Norway I... More
