My husband and I have been here quite a few times and we have always had a good meal. The staff are efficient and friendly and the prices are reasonable. The Wetherby Whaler chain have very tasty fish, although there are other options than fish available. The Pudsey branch is easy walking distance from the bus station, very near the... More

Lovely lunch of fish and chips. Me and my Mum called for lunch. We both had the seniors special. 3 courses for less than £10 and that includes tea bread and butter. We swapped the soup for mushy peas, these were served with delicious fish and chips, followed by apple crumble and custard. The staff are very pleasant and very... More

On Friday 19th May 2017 we wanted to treat our granddaughter to a takeaway for her tea. She chose fish n chips and as she lives in Bramley we decided to go to the Wetherby Whaler in Pudsey. I have to say they where the worse fish n chips we have had in a long time. The batter was thick... More

Another lovely meal here, the food was lovely as always. Although I could have done with a tad more sauce on my cannaloni but then I'm Yorkshire and always want more sauce. The portions were huge and very filling especially dessert, staff friendly as always and plenty of parking. There is a car park behind the restaurant but for those... More

The fish and chips are delicious and the salad is very very fresh. The batter is alot nicer than the Guiseley branch because it is alot thinner and crispier but personal choice. The staff are friendly and bring your bill as soon as asked. We will be visiting again soon. The car park is very convenient.

We recently visited the restaurant to relive a childhood memory. We were seated and orders were taken promptly and our meals were received quickly, the food was good and were generous portion sizes. The trouble started when our table was cleared and the waitress dropped tartare sauce into my boyfriends lap, we asked for our bill and were given the... More

Had the senior meal. Soup was potato and leek it was ok. Then haddock with specially ordered well done chips. When i order well done chips at wetherby whaler ,guiseley they are definitely well done and tasty. These were not well done. The batter on the fish at guiseley is very smooth and wonderful and unique to them. I was... More

Drove for miles looking for a chippie in the Pudsey/Rodley area on a Sunday evening and this was the only one open! Meal deals seemed too complicated and didn't cover what I wanted so just asked for six fish, four chips and four mushy peas. Arrived after less than 10 mins and when taken home it was all superb. Value... More

I grew up on the coast, so I know how fish from and fish and chip shop should taste, and I am incredibly fussy - I tend not to enjoy fish from a lot of places unless they're near the coast. However, my partner told me to try this place with him, and I'm so glad I did. Everything was... More
