Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Popped in to get some local foods for a lunch on the go. Got some local cheese, chorizo (Amazing!), crackery stuff, honey, olives, etc. All really nice. Took to to the beach and ate from the tailgate of the car!

This cafe had very good food, including vegetarian options. We enjoyed our toasted baguettes in the garden. The service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

I had read reviews on the terrine so had to try some and weren’t disappointed. Absolutely perfect so tasty my husband over indulged, very rich. After wondering around the store and all it’s tempting delights brought the olive chutney which is full of black olive...chunks. Reminded me of a olive tapenade but chunky. Very good. The lady behind the counter was so charming and friendly.More

We were camping at the Prom & it was incredibly windy, so we escaped to Fish Creek for lunch. Gisbons has yum food - we shared a ham, cheese & mustard toastie & a sausage roll. We also shared a chocolate Prom Ice-cream, so yum.... We also brought some bread & quark. Great place for lunch & to get to me super yummy provisions.More

Stopped by on the way to the Prom and was impressed with the quality of the offerings. Currently only doing takeaway due to Covid. Something to please everyone here with vegan and vegetarian offerings. Soup of the day was roast cauliflower and garlic with African...spices. Delicious and served with a choice of 2 home baked scones: kale and potato ? or the barley scone that we got. Range of pies, sausage rolls, croissants, toasties and I got the Reuben focaccia. Lots of sweet treats to go with coffee, cheeses and the world's best pate to take home and devour ! Sauces, tableware, linen, crockery and some other delightful locally made items to buy. Fabulous and friendly service, lovely chat, I will definitely be back. Well worth a detour or visit on your way ... if you are allowed out of course :)More

It's been a few years since I stopped in Fish Creek to have a look around... but the last time I was here ... this cafe was called the Flying Cow and it was home style and quaintly country. These days you walk in and...there is an open feel... it no longer has that homely feel...but it has that funky cafe vibe. As you enter ... to the left is a room with art and wooden boards in there... it's worth taking a peep before you leave the cafe. I found a table in the room at the back and then went to order. For me, the menu was limited...but when you get to the counter there is so much on offer and everything looks appealing. I ordered a croissant and tea and sat just enjoying the ambience. This is a stunning little cafe with great food ... excellent service and reasonable value.More

This is the best little country cafe/bar I’ve been to in a long time. Looks a bit tatty from the outside but don’t let that fool you. Enter into a warm welcoming space with friendly staff, interesting knickknacks, homemade preserves, local ethical deli meats, and...beautiful food. From the super sausage roll with homemade spicy sauce, through the melt in your mouth arancini balls, to the cheesecake and coffee it was all superb. Do yourself a favour and have a long lunch. Right near the rail trail for you bike riders.More

The Cafe had great hospitality, coffee and food. The cafe also had lovely gifts, which was nice to browse at. It also had an ethical feel to it. The barista, asked (very politely) a customer if they had heard about keepcups when the the customer...asked for their coffee in take away cups when they were having coffee at the cafe. I admired that.More
