Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful dinner. The Hot Rocks option was definitely a highlight. Great service and venue. Friendly staff - young man who served us was happy to tell us about the Hot Rocks. Would highly recommend.

SENSATIONAL!! This quaint country pub has THE MOST amazing hot rock steaks! Never experienced anything like it!! Delicious side salad and moorish chips! Ice cold beers and excellent wines too! The hosts Judy and Dave were so obliging and helpful with local knowledge! A really...friendly country pub! We stayed the night in their comfy rooms with a snoozy bed and then off to Walhalla the next day!! I highly recommend the hotel for lunch or dinner with its fascinating decor of antique chainsaws and huge fireplace! You MUST go and experience the hot rock steaks!! I don't know where they get their "tender as butter" steaks from but.....Sensational!More

Fabulous food! The Hot Stone Grill is a must. I had the Pork and my Husband had the Rump. Both lovely thick cuts of meat and so flavoursome. Highly recommended!

Drove 2 hours to visit Erica, checked the opening time of the pub to be sure of getting something to eat, only to be told by a rude grumpy man behind the counter that the kitchens closed. Please everyone, start coming back to the Erica pub post Covid. We were excited to return and order a hot rocks steak. It was fabulous as always, so tender, and as it is cooked at the table, it is precisely to your liking! I had...eye fillet with a nice pepper sauce. My dining partner had the garlic prawns and thoroughly enjoyed them. Chips were nice, but please bring back the chips from 2 years ago. Service was prompt and very professional and friendly. The owners deserve the return of the regular customers where you fight to get a booking. Best food around and worth the scenic drive through the local bush area. Thanks Erica pub!! Best wishes to you too, hope you enjoy a busy summer.More

Had dinner here on two nights. First night was an Aussie Pizza (small $14) which was excellent and one of the best I have had. My wife had the excellent 350g Rump on hot rock. Two nights later, we both had the Rump, with chips...and vegetables and again it was excellent for $26 each. A nice glass of wine to complement the meal a d you would be hard pressed to better.More

Astute motorcyclist will love this place with its historical 'chainsaw' theme hanging off the exposed beams. I personally rate this place very high. A crew of 8 riders went here in winter and all gave the thumbs up. Big fire, big meals, big dining, good...parking area is the right ingredients. Dont know what the accommodation is like but assume it fine. It will be our prime choice for lunch stop.More

We dropped in for dinner. Sensational lamb backstrap on hot rocks. Beautiful glass of house red to compliment it. Followed it up with a stunning dessert - sticky date pudding. The chef went the extra mile to bring out cracked pepper to go with the...lamb and extra whipped cream to go with our desserts. 9.5/10 for the atmosphere, wood fire, food, presentation and fabulous staff. Do yourself a favor if you are within driving distance.....have a meal here!!!! (Jane & Clyve)More

We got stuck with road closures (wicked snow dump) and dropped in to Erica Hotel to regroup and work out what to do next. Staff were amazing. While we (2 families - total of 3 adults and 4 kids) ate a delicious meal and defrosted...by the fire, our rooms were made up for us. Was very occasional traffic noise but otherwise very quiet. Is budget accommodation, but very clean and beds were comfortable. We woke up to the sight of horses near our little outside balcony which the kids loved (they got to have a cheeky pat). The Manager or owner was amazing despite being woken up early this morning to let us back into the room not once but twice for items left behind. She was very patient and gracious at the interruption of her Saturday morning sleep in by annoying guests. Would happily and highly recommend Erica Hotel.More

Hi Jayde. Thankyou for your review. It was a pleasure looking after you and your family after your misfortune with the road closures. It was totally fine about letting you back in the room when needed. I hope you enjoyed the remainder of your weekend.
